“Prof. Justo Puerto earned his doctorate in mathematics in 1990 from the University of Seville, Spain. His research interests include location theory, game theory, optimization and analysis of complex networks, among others.
He has authored or co-authored more than 150 research papers and several books and book chapters. His articles have appeared in the most important journal in the field, including Mathematical Programming, Mathematics of Operations Research, Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research … In addition, Prof. Puerto has coordinated several applied and theoretical research projects and a number of industrial applications of mathematics.”
"I was contacted by ideXlab to contribute to a project for adapting a modelling software package to explore various scenarios of how to transport packets from one node to another node of a ‘line’ using conveyors.Their request was very relevant to my prior research and my group could quickly made a proposal for a mathematical model that won the challenge. We are very please to be working now on a contract research with the seeking company. A first and positive experience with Open Innovation for us, Thank you! "
