Energy & Fuels, 2020Co-Authors: Huaiqi Shao, Ruofei Wang, Xia Gu, Xun WangAbstract:In this paper, poly-α-olefins oil base stocks with medium kinematic viscosity and high viscosity index were prepared by 1-Decene oligomerization catalyzed using the alkylaluminum chloride catalyst promoted by haloalkane and metal chlorides (VCl3, CrCl3, and TiCl3). The promotion effects of haloalkane and metal chlorides on oligomerization activity and properties of the oligomers formed were investigated. The small amount of VCl3 added into the EtAlCl2–CHCl3 catalyst can increase the oligomerization yield from 85.90 to 94.18% and viscosity index from 152 to 158, accompanied by a slight decrease in viscosity. VCl3 enhances the activation of EtAlCl2–CHCl3 through the formation of bimetallic species containing two Al–Cl–V bridging bonds, which can increase release ability of carbocations from CHCl3 to promote activity and improve viscosity-temperature performance of the oligomers formed. flavonoids and a new polyacetylene from bidens parviflora willd
Molecules, 2008Co-Authors: Yulan Li, Jun Li, Naili WangAbstract:Fifteen flavonoids, 1-7 and 9-16, and a polyacetylene, 8, were isolated from the ethanol extract of the dried whole plant of Bidens parviflora Willd. by various chromatographic techniques. Their structures have been elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses and chemical studies. Compound 8 is new and was identified as 3-(R),8(E)-decene-4,6-diyne-1,3,10-triol. All the flavonoid compounds were isolated for the first time from this plant species.

The structures were identified based on spectroscopic analysis, physicochemical properties, and application of the modified Mosher method to be 3(R), 8(E)-8-decene-4, 6-diyne-1, 3-diol 1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), deca-3(R), 8(Z) 8-decene-4, 6-diyne-1, 3-diol 1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), 3(R)-deca-4, 6, 8-triyne-1, 3-diol 1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), 3(R), 8(E)-8-decene-4, 6-diyne-1, 3, 10-triol 1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4), and 8(E)-8-decene-4, 6-diyne-1, 10-diol 1-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), respectively. These compounds inhibited nitric oxide (NO) production in lipopolysaccharide and interferon-γ activated murine macrophages (RAW264.7) and also inhibited histamine release from rat mast cells stimulated by the antigen-antibody reaction.
