    Abstract:

    In this paper, stabilities of a series type Active Power Filter (APF) control and the whole Power system are analyzed respectively. Factors affecting the Filter quality of a conventional series Active Power Filter (SAPF) and series hybrid Active Power Filter (SHAPF) are also studied in detail. Based on those, a new lead compensation control strategy for series type Active Power circuit is presented, which can enhance the stability of the whole Power system, improve the Filter quality and decrease the Power rating of the Active part. Experiment results of a 10kVA prototype demonstrate and confirm its validity.

    Abstract:

    The basic principles for suppressing the harmonics of the conventional series hybrid Active Power Filter (SHAPF) are analyzed qualitatively. Based on these, a novel series hybrid Active Power Filter is proposed. Compared with the conventional series Active Power Filter (SAPF) or the series hybrid Active Power Filter, its Active part only needs to suppress some low order harmonics. So the capacity factor of the inverter’s DC voltage is much improved and the Power fating of the Active part is decreased markedly, while its Filter quality does not decline. The detailed theoretical analysis is given, and the feasibility is verified through simulation and experiment on a 10kVA prototype.

    Abstract:

    A full digital control system of the single phase parallel hybrid Active Power Filter for electrified railways is introduced. First, the configuration and basic operation principle of the Active Power Filter are introduced. Second, the control purpose is proposed, then the hardware is designed and the characteristics of hardware are given. At last, some experimental results are obtained. It shows that the control system meets real time requirement of the Active Power Filter and the compensation properties of the Active Power Filter are very good.

    With the rapid development of Power electronic technology,no-linear loads are used widely in Power system,which bring the serious harmonic contamination.In order to improve the supply network quality,many kinds of compensators have been developed.One of the effective ways to solve such kinds of problems is using Filters:passive Power Filter(PF) and Active Power Filter(APF).A hybrid Active Power Filter was presented,and the simulation results of MATLAB indicate that the hybrid Active Power Filter has a good effect on harmonic control.

The principle and speciality of shunt hybrid Active Power Filter is analyzed in the paper. The scheme of main circuit and control strategy are studied. This paper establishes simulation model based on MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation result indicates the Shunt Hybrid Active Power Filter can improve the performance of passive Filter and verifies the good compensation characteristics of the hybrid Power compensator.

    Shunt Hybrid Active Power Filter(SHAPF) can improve the performance of passive Filter and realize harmonics restraint and reActive Power compensation in big Power situation.The principle and speciality of Shunt Hybrid Active Power Filter is analyzed by establishing single-phase equivalent circuit of SHAPF in the paper.A design method of main circuit is presented by studying the scheme of main circuit.It includes design of Power Filter,design of coupling trantransformer,design of output Filter and design of control strategy of Active Power Filter.Simulation model is established based on MATLAB/Simulink,and the parameters of simulation model are presented.Finally,the simulation results are shown.The simulation result indicates the Shunt Hybrid Active Power Filter can improve the performance of passive Filter and verifies the good compensation characteristics of the hybrid Power compensator.

    Abstract:

    In this paper is presented a shunt Active Power Filter with a reduced number of inductors for harmonic and reActive Power compensation in three-phase three-wire electrical systems. The proposed configuration is based on two single-phase shunt Active Power Filters connected to a three-phase three-wire grid. The two single-phase cells can be achieved by a three-leg single- phase to single-phase ac-dc-ac converter, therefore resulting in a three-phase shunt Active Power Filter with one inductor less than the typical three-phase Active Power Filter. As a result the proposed configuration has reduced losses and weight. I.
