    Context. The CoRoT mission provides asteroseismic data of very high quality allowing one to adopt new statistical approaches for mode detection in power spectra, especially with respect to testing the null Hypothesis (H0, which assumes that what is observed is pure noise). Aims. We emphasize that the significance level when rejecting the null Hypothesis can lead to the incorrect conclusion that the H0 Hypothesis is unlikely to occur at that significance level. We demonstrate that the significance level is unrelated to the posterior probability of H0, given the observed data set, and that this posterior probability is very much higher than implied by the significance level. Methods. We use Bayes theorem to derive the posterior probability of that H0 is true assuming an Alternative Hypothesis H1 that a mode is present, taking some prior for the mode height, mode amplitude and linewidth. Results. We compute the posterior probability of H0 for the p modes detected on HD 49 933 by CoRoT. Conclusions. We conclude that the posterior probability of H0 provide a much more conservative quantification of the mode detection than the significance level. This framework can be applied to any similar stellar power spectra obtained to complete asteroseismology.

    We address the problem of testing the Hypothesis H0 that the letters from some alphabet A = {a1,a2,...,aK} are distributed uniformly (i.e. p(a1) = p(a2) = ... = p(ak) = 1/K) against the Alternative Hypothesis H1 that the true distribution is not uniform, in the case when K is large. First, let us explain the main idea of the new test. Let there be given a sample which can be used for testing. The sample is divided into two parts, which are called the training sample and the testing sample. The training sample is used for estimation of frequencies of the letter occurrences. After that the letters of the alphabet A are combined into subsets A1,A2,...,As,s 2, in such a way that, first, one subset contains letters with close (or even equal) frequencies of occurrence and, second, s is much less than K (say, K = 2 20 ,s = 2).     Kemandirian merupakan kemampuan dalam memecahkan masalah sendiri tanpa bergantung pada orang lain. Anak yang terbiasa mandiri dapat melakukan dan mengerjakan tugasnya dengan mandiri. Adapun kenyataan yang terlihat di lingkungan TK atau PAUD belum semua anak mampu melakukan kegiatan secara mandiri. Sebagian dari mereka masih memerlukan bantuan dari orang dewasa untuk memenuhi keperluannya. Ada banyak cara untuk meningkatkan kemandirian anak. Salah satunya yaitu melalui bermain perann. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari kegiatan bermain peran terhadap kemandirian anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian dilaksanakan di RA AL-Falahiyyah, Jakarta Selatan dengan sampel penelitian anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain True Experimental dalam bentuk Two Group – With Pre-test dan Post-test (teknik pre-test dan post-test) dan mengumpulkan data dengan instrumen observasi (check list). Teknik analisis penelitian menggunakan uji normalitas. Teknik pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh harga thitung 1 = 15,03; thitung 2 = 7,35; thitung 3 = 11,1 dan harga ttabel = 1,701 dengan dk = 28 pada taraf signifikan = 0,05 yang artinya hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima. Dengan demikian kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah terdapat perbedaan antara kemandirian anak sebelum diberikan perlakuan dengan kemandirian anak sesudah diberikan perlakuan, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari bermain peran terhadap kemandirian anak usia 5-6 tahun. Kesimpulan yang dapat diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah bermain peran dapat dijadikan sebagai kegiatan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemandirian anak. Kata Kunci : Bermain Peran, Kemandirian, Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun. Independence is the ability to solve their own problems without relying on others. Children who are used to being independent can do their activities by their selves. But, in reality, not all children can carry out their activities independently which can be seen in kindergarten or early childhood education environments. Some of them still need help from adults to fulfill their needs. There are many ways to improve children's independence. One of them is through role-playing. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of role-playing activities on the independence of children aged 5-6 years. The study was conducted at RA AL-Falahiyyah, South Jakarta with research samples of children aged 5-6 years. This study uses True Experimental design in the form of Two Groups - With Pre-test and Post-test (pre-test and post-test techniques) and collecting data with observation instruments (check list). Research analysis techniques using the normality test. Hypothesis testing techniques using t-test. Based on the results of testing the Hypothesis using the t-test obtained the price of tcount 1 = 15.03; tcount 2 = 7.35; tcount 3 = 11.1 and price table = 1.701 with dk = 28 at a significant level = 0.05 which means the null Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Thus the conclusion obtained is that there is a difference between the independence of the child before being given treatment with the independence of the child after being given treatment, which means there is a significant influence of role-playing on the independence of children aged 5-6 years. The conclusion that can be obtained in this study is that role-playing can be used as a learning activity to improve children's independence.
