    Abstract:

    In this paper, we argue that before defining the scenario of a serious game, a thorough preparation, i.e., requirement Analysis Phase is needed. Before an attractive scenario can be defined, one should decide and clarify a lot of different issues that could influence the setup of the serious game, as well as the scenario(s). This can be done in plenary sessions with the different stakeholders, but experience has shown that some guidance is needed to have focused and effective sessions, as the stakeholders are usually from different disciplines and have different backgrounds and expertise. To support this Phase, we developed a tablet (iPad) app usable by non-computing, as well as computing people. We discuss the tool, as well as the way it supports the users in the requirement Analysis Phase for the development of serious games for children.

    Abstract:

    The aim of this paper is to propose new mining techniques by which we can study the impact of different risk management techniques and different software risk factors on software Analysis development projects. The new mining technique uses the fuzzy multiple regression Analysis techniques with fuzzy concepts to manage the software risks in a software project and mitigating risk with software process improvement. Top ten software risk factors in Analysis Phase and thirty risk management techniques were presented to respondents. The results show that all software risks in software projects were very important from software project manager perspective, whereas all risk management techniques are used most of the time, and often. However, these mining tests were performed using fuzzy multiple regression Analysis techniques to compare the risk management techniques with each of the software risk factors to determine if they are effective in reducing the occurrence of each software risk factor. The study has been conducted on a group of software project managers. Successful software project risk management will greatly improve the probability of software project success.

    In the highly competitive telecommunications environment of today a service provider must continually evolve its network and enable new revenue-generating services faster and more cost effectively than the competition. These services should create value for the end users by satisfying all their functional requirements in an efficient manner, and they should be delivered with simplicity and ease of provisioning. This paper focuses on the transition from a requirements capture and Analysis Phase to a service Analysis Phase in the framework of an object- oriented service creation methodology, by considering the internal structure and the functionality of a telematic service. After the examination of the main activities that take place in the service Analysis Phase and the identification of the main artifacts that are produced during them, the overall service development process is highlighted, and the paper attempts to validate, through several service creation experiments, not only the service Analysis Phase, but also the overall service creation methodology. Finally, the validation results are discussed and further evaluation actions are briefly outlined.
