In this paper, we shall show that this goal can be achieved via an Analytical Process if one of the two images is QR code. For decryption, the QR code is decrypted in the conventional architecture and the decryption has a noisy appearance. Nevertheless, the robustness of QR code against noise enables the accurate acquisition of its content from the noisy retrieval, as a result of which the primary QR code can be exactly regenerated. Thereafter, a novel optical architecture is proposed to recover the grayscale image by aid of the QR code. In addition, the proposal has totally eliminated the silhouette problem existing in the previous IBE schemes, and its effectiveness and feasibility have been demonstrated by numerical simulations.

An enhanced Analytical Process model that can handle dynamic variations exerted by roll vibrations in multiple directions is proposed in this paper, and its linearized form established for easy analysis. Finally, experiments are presented that verify the accuracy of the proposed dynamic model of the rolling Process.

Micrometric magnetized beads, functionalized with soluble epidermal growth factor receptor (sEGFR), the pharmacological target of Erbitux, were used for specific immunocapture of Erbitux allowing assessment of the antibody's biological potency and sample purification. Following digestion with trypsin, specific peptides from light and heavy chains were monitored in the selected reaction monitoring (SRM) mode. Assay variability below 20% was provided through optimization of the digestion step and rigorous monitoring of the whole Analytical Process using an appropriate internal standard. Soxhlet extraction with water assisted by focused microwaves provides recoveries better (>90%) than obtained by conventional Soxhlet extraction (70-80%). Coupling of the extractor with an on-line preconcentration/derivatization/detection manifold through a flow injection (FI) interface allows a fully automated screening approach. A yes/no answer can be obtained in less than 2 h (for the whole Analytical Process), a short time compared with the at least 24 h of Soxhlet extraction (without final detection). Due to the use of water as leaching agent, the proposed method is environmentally friendly.

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2002Co-Authors: M C Herrera, Rafael Pradosrosales, J L Luquegarcia, M Luque D De CastroAbstract:A combination of static–dynamic modes of pressurized hot water extraction has been used for the extraction of N-methylcarbamates (namely, oxamyl, dioxacarb, metholcarb, carbofuran and carbaryl) from different fruits and vegetables. The selection of water as leaching agent provides a clean approach which avoids the use of organic solvents. A flow injection manifold coupled to the extractor has allowed the automation of the subsequent steps (namely, filtration, preconcentration, individual chromatographic separation, post-column derivatization and fluorescence detection) involved in the Analytical Process. Good recoveries, ranging from 80 to 104%, and precision, expressed as relative standard deviation, between 3.0 and 8.4% have been achieved by the proposed method.

Journal of Chromatography A, 2002Co-Authors: J L Luquegarcia, M Luque D De CastroAbstract:Abstract Subcritical water extraction has been coupled with filtration, preconcentration and chromatographic analysis for the determination of acid herbicides in different types of soil. Two experimental designs were used for the optimization of the leaching step. The use of water as extractant in the continuous mode at a flow-rate of 1 ml/min and 85 °C was sufficient for quantitative extraction of the analytes. A static extraction time was unnecessary for reducing the extraction time to 1 h. A minicolumn containing C 18 -Hydra as sorbent proved an excellent material for the quantitative preconcentration of the herbicides prior to individual chromatographic separation. A flow-injection manifold was used as interface for coupling the four steps, thus allowing automation of the whole Analytical Process. Recoveries of the target analytes ranged between 94.2 and 113.1%, and repeatabilities, expressed as relative standard deviations, were between 0.61 and 6.83%.
