In sharp contrast to Ru(II) sensitizers that employ functionalized thiophene appendages in their ancillary bipyridal ligands, the extended π-conjugation introduced by the isoquinolinyl or quinolinyl groups improves the optical absorptivity, particularly for the absorption located at ∼500 nm when compared with the parent sensitizer TFRS-1 possessing less conjugated 5-pyrid-2-yl pyrazolate Ancillaries. As a result, DSCs incorporated with these dyes show much improved JSC compared with the reference device. Moreover, the use of bulky t-butyl substituents on the ancillary ligands improves the cell performance with excellent VOC of up to 830 mV recorded. Also, the addition of tetra-n-butyl ammonium deoxycholate [TBA][DOC] as co-adsorbent to the dye solution further improves the power conversion efficiency (η). The best solar cell parameters recorded were JSC = 16.3 mA cm−2, VOC = 860 mV, FF = 0.72, and η = 10.1% for a device sensitized with TFRS-52. The markedly high open-circuit voltage is confirmed by the longer electron lifetime revealed in transient photovoltage (TPV) measurement versus the TFRS-1 sensitizer, and is probably derived from a combination of the higher conduction band edge of TiO2 induced by the in situ metathesis of carboxylate anchors and the reduced recombination contributed by the bulky sensitizer.

Small scale industries function as Ancillaries to large scale industries. They produce parts, components and accessories required by large scale industries. This paper consists of structure and pattern of assets and liabilities, financial performance of SSEs in Bangalore rural district of Karnataka. The statistical tools like simple percentages, averages, linear growth rates, and ratio analysis are used to evaluate the financial performance of the selected sample units.

Chemical Engineering Research & Design, 2014Co-Authors: Won Seok Kim, Dae Ryook Yang, Dong Ju Moon, Byoung Sung AhnAbstract:Abstract A process for methanol production from 100 MM scfd of stranded gas and CO2 is proposed and simulated using a commercial process simulator, PRO/II v.9.1, for a FPSO (floating production, storage, off-loading) system. The process consists of Steam-CO2 Reforming (SCR), methanol synthesis, a Reverse Water-Gas Shift (RWGS) reaction and Ancillaries with recycle streams to SCR and RWGS. All reactors were simulated using the Gibbs reactor model. Also, the Plug Flow Reactor (PFR) model with reaction rate equations was used for the methanol reactor and the result was compared to the Gibbs reactor model. To maximize the use of the carbon source in stranded gas and CO2 while avoiding an undesirable increase in process size, the optimum recycle ratios were calculated with a satisfying constraint, a steam-to-carbon ratio ≥ 1 in the SCR. In the proposed Methanol-FPSO process the RWGS reactor can maximize CO2 utilization and case studies were performed to analyze the influence of RWGS.

Black-white disparities in motor function outcomes taking into account patient characteristics, nontherapy Ancillaries, therapy activities, and therapy interventions. Objective To assess black-white differences in functional outcomes, controlling for patient characteristics, use of nontherapy Ancillaries (NTAs), and use of physical (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) activities and interventions. Design Multicenter prospective observational cohort study of poststroke rehabilitation. Setting Six U.S. inpatient rehabilitation facilities. Participants Patients (N=732) subdivided into case-mix subgroups (CMGs; CMGs 104–107 for moderate strokes [n=397], CMGs 108–114 for severe strokes [n=335]). Interventions Not applicable. Main Outcome Measure Discharge Motor FIM. Results Taking into account patient characteristics, NTAs, and therapy activities, multivariate regressions explained ( R 2 ) 54% and 69% of variation in outcomes between patients with moderate and severe stroke, respectively. Black race was associated with lower outcomes than white race in the severe group. However, race was no longer associated with outcomes after including interventions used within PT and OT activities. Including interventions within therapy activities increased R 2 to 64% and 74% for moderate and severe strokes, respectively. Some PT and OT activities were provided more to blacks than whites and vice versa. Greater intensity sometimes was associated with better and sometimes with poorer functional outcomes. Conclusions After controlling for interventions within activities, no racial differences were found in functional outcomes at discharge despite racial differences in rehabilitation care, possibly because each racial group received a mixture of interventions that were negatively and positively associated with outcome. Clinicians should provide therapies associated with better outcomes with high and similar intensities for black and white patients poststroke.
