Technology for Especial Concrete for Construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway in Permafrost Region and Its Application
Journal of Railway Engineering Society, 2009Co-Authors: Zhao WeiAbstract:Research purposes: The technology for the common concrete has been applied widely, but construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway in Naqu needed the especial concrete about 550 000 m3.As Naqu is high cold area, there was no matching ratio of especial concrete for it,so the construction diamond could not be met.In order to ensure the construction quality of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the research was done on the especial concrete for meeting the diamond of construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway in permafrost region.Research conclusions:By doing the research, the especial concrete for the railway in permafrost region was developed, which provided the good foundation for the similar works. The Applicable result showed this especial concrete could meet the construction diamond and the Applicable Requirement.

EPA to improve air operating permits program
Pollution Engineering, 1996Co-Authors: L.l. BergesonAbstract:The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued an important document on March 5, 1996, titled White Paper Number 2 for Improved Implementation of the Part 70 Operating Permits Program. This white paper supplements guidance provided in EPA`s first white paper on streamlining development of Part 70 permit applications, issued on July 10, 1995, and generally is referred to as White Paper No. 1. The guidance contains five sections, including: redundant or conflicting permitting Requirements; streamlining options for the development of applications and permits for outdated state implementation plan (SIP) Requirements; treatment of insignificant emissions units; the use of major source and Applicable Requirement stipulation; and reference of existing information in Part 70 permit applications and permits.

Study on the Method of Choosing Wavelet Function to Forecast Short-Term Load of Power System
Journal of Southern Yangtze University, 2007Co-Authors: Wu Guo-zhongAbstract:In the theory of signal irregularity detection, there is a close relationship between the scale of wavelet analysis and the maximum module with Lipschitz exponent.According to this theory, the paper made a deep research on how to choose the most suitable wavelet function. The paper firstly makes a raw analysis on the features of db(N) wavelet function on the base of the Applicable Requirement in short-term load forecasting, then finds out the just function that can check out the maximum Lipschitz exponent according to the relationship of Lipschitz exponent, deposes level and the maximum scale value. The research got a reasonable result for N.

Reinforcement Design Using Linear Analysis
Plates and FEM, 2009Co-Authors: Johan BlaauwendraadAbstract:Design of reinforced concrete structures can be described by the following consecutive steps: 1. Select the initial dimensions of all the structural elements using simple rules of thumb or experience. These dimensions should be able to satisfy the serviceability and ultimate limit states, and should fulfill the Requirements for adequate site execution and any other Applicable Requirement (e.g. acoustic isolation, fire protection, etc.). 2. Perform a global structural analysis to calculate the internal forces (or stresses) due to the combination of loads defined in the codes. The method almost used exclusively today is the finite element method and the behaviour of the structure is assumed to be linear elastic at this stage.

On the Evidence Issues Concerning No Prosecution for Suspected Crimes
Journal of Northwest University of Political Science and Law, 2010Co-Authors: Song ZhijunAbstract:On the basis of the empirical analysis of current issues concerning the application of evidence in the institution of no prosecution for suspected crimes, the article puts forward some improving suggestions such as refining the prosecution standards, perfecting the Requirements of no prosecution for suspected crimes, establishing the discovery of evidence rule and etc,in response to the existing issues such as no researches into the categorization of the cases regarding no prosecution for suspected crimes, misunderstanding the Applicable Requirement of no prosecution for suspected crimes,no unified understanding of the evidential standards of no prosecution for suspected crime, investigators' weak consciousness of evidence and so on.
