  • ICECCS - Analyzing Security Property of Android Application Implementation Using Formal Method
2015 20th International Conference on Engineering of Complex Computer Systems (ICECCS), 2015
    Co-Authors: Quanqi Ye
    Abstract:

As mobile phones are becoming a main approach for people to use to access internet, security is a major concern when people are using their mobile phones. Different from the web browser which has mature isolation mechanisms to protect users' information such as cookies and credentials, Android app developers have to implement the isolation mechanism such as the Single Origin Policy (SOP) [1], [2] themselves. During the Implementation process, it is highly likely that there is vulnerability in the Implementation. Therefore, it is necessary to perform analysis to the Implementation before it is released to market. As part of an ongoing Ph.D. research project, this dissertation inspects two scenarios. The first scenario is an app which provides Single Sign-on (SSO) service using Facebook SDK. The author builds formal models from the captured network traffic of the app and uses a verifier Proverif to check against the defined properties of the formal models. After the analysis, one vulnerability is discovered which violates SOP. As for the second scenario, it is an initial analysis of information flow leak in Android apps.

  • DESRIST - Development of Augmented Reality Application on Android OS
New Horizons in Design Science: Broadening the Research Agenda, 2015
    Co-Authors: Ondrej Bilek, Ondrej Krejcar
    Abstract:

Augmented reality is one of the current mobile trends, while the main development has not yet come. It complements properties around the user for additional software added elements whose goal is to further expand the user possibilities to real reality. Many of augmented reality Applications apply a wide range of sensors, because it is necessary to accurately identify the surrounding reality in order to be properly extended.Paper deals with use of embedded sensors of mobile devices. Selected examples of specific procedures and algorithms are described on currently the most widely used mobile platform Android OS. Design of Application, Implementation with class descriptions as well as interesting algorithms and testing of final Application is also described.

  • Possibility of Using Embedded Sensors of Smart Devices for Augmented Reality Application
Advanced Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering, 2015
    Co-Authors: Ondrej Bilek, Ondrej Krejcar
    Abstract:

Paper deals with use of embedded sensors of mobile devices. While describing a development of an example Application using described sensors with emphasis on the widest range of sensors we would like to show possibilities of today smart devices to operate with augmented reality world. We are also focusing on current popular mobile platforms and development options for these platforms, with focus on using of embedded sensors. Most important issues are described with examples of specific procedures and algorithm samples of programming sensors on currently the most widely used mobile platform Google Android. Practical example Application for augmented reality is using some described sensors and is based on some principles of augmented reality. There is described initial design of Application, Implementation with class descriptions and interesting algorithms and testing. Finally we end with testing, evaluation, comparison and conclusion.

  • Balanced Scorecard KPI formulation of SAPA IT division and mobile web Application Implementation
Proceedings of the 2011 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics, 2011
Co-Authors: Yusep Rosmansyah, Husni Mubarok, Rio Yunanto
    Abstract:

Sentra Pelayanan Agribisnis (SAPA) is an agricultural organization, with the vision of “Prosperity and sovereignty of farmers head for Indonesia-Granary world food 2020”. The Progress in the realm of information technology, utilized by SAPA, as one of the facility to advance their organization. Therefore, mature planning is needed in the utilization of information technology, thus organizing the map of information technology strategy and formulating the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) is needed. The purpose of this research is to arrange a strategy map of SAPA information technology division, formulate the KPIs using the Balanced Scorecard approach, and the Implementation into a mobile web Application. The results of this research are a strategy map of SAPA IT division, KPIs and a prototype of mobile web Application.

  • SynDEx executive kernels for fast developments of Applications over heterogeneous architectures
    2005 13th European Signal Processing Conference, 2005
    Co-Authors: M. Raulet, F. Urban, Jf Nezan, O. Deforges
    Abstract:

Future generations of mobile phones, including advanced video and digital communication layers, represent a great challenge in terms of real-time embedded systems. Programmable multicomponent architectures can provide suitable target solutions combining flexibility and computation power. The aim of our work is to develop a fast and automatic prototyping methodology dedicated to signal processing Application Implementation onto parallel heterogeneous architectures, two major features required by future systems. This paper presents the whole methodology based on the SynDEx CAD tool, that directly generates a distributed Implementation onto various platforms from a high-level Application description, taking real-time aspects into account. It illustrates the methodology in the context of real-time distributed executives for Applications based on video codecs and telecommunication physical layers.
