    Abstract:

    Abstract Temporal lobectomy can be complicated by somatoform disorders, psychiatric illnesses and non-epileptic psychogenic seizures. We report a woman who developed astasia–abasia and psychogenic tremor following temporal lobectomy for refractory epilepsy. To our knowledge, this type of conversion reaction following temporal lobectomy has not been previously reported.
