  • randomized Block Design with excel software in drug toxicology research
    Progress in Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2005
    Co-Authors: Zhou Yiping
    Abstract:

Objective: To apply Excel Software to the randomized Block Design. Methods: The table of randomization was projected by the way of inserting random number and compositor of Excel Software. Results: With convenience and rapidity, the animals were divided into every group randomly through this method. Conclusion: The application of Excel Software in the randomized Block Design is simple, rapid, exact and convenient.

  • Switch Block Design
Design of Interconnection Networks for Programmable Logic, 2004
Co-Authors: Guy G.f. Lemieux, David Lewis
    Abstract:

This chapter presents an analytical framework which considers the Design of a continuous fabric of switch Blocks containing any length of wire segments. The framework is used to Design new switch Blocks which are experimentally shown to be as effective as the best ones known to date. With this framework, we hope to inspire new ways of looking at switch Block Design.

  • FPL - Analytical Framework for Switch Block Design
Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 1
Co-Authors: Guy G.f. Lemieux, David Lewis
    Abstract:

One popular FPGA interconnection network is based on the islandstyle model, where rows and columns of logic Blocks are separated by channels containing routing wires. Switch Blocks are placed at the intersections of the horizontal and vertical channels to allow the wires to be connected together. Previous switch Block Design has focused on the analysis of individual switch Blocks or the use of ad hoc Design with experimental evaluation. This paper presents an analytical framework which considers the Design of a continuous fabric of switch Blocks containing wire segments of any length. The framework is used to Design new switch Blocks which are experimentally shown to be as effective as the best ones known to date. With this framework, we hope to inspire new ways of looking at switch Block Design.

  • Efficiency of incomplete split-plot Designs – a compromise between traditional split-plot Designs and randomised complete Block Design
    2008
Co-Authors: Kristian Kristensen, Federica Bigongiali, Hanne Østergård
    Abstract:

The paper shows, how incomplete split-plot Designs can be constructed from -Designs and how they can be analysed. The incomplete split-plot Design can be regarded as both a practical and statistical compromise between traditional split-plot Design and randomised complete Block Design. The efficiency of the Design is compared to traditional split-plot Design and randomised complete Block Design using data from 5 trials carried out using incomplete split-plot Designs in Denmark through 2004-2007. The comparisons showed that the incomplete split-plot Design were superior to traditional split-plot Design in most cases – and in all cases when comparing differences among treatments in the whole-plot factor. The incomplete split-plot Design was in many cases also better than the randomised complete Block Design.
