We appreciate the cooperation on this to date. Points of Interest * Spring Clean-up * Employment IRRIGATION Irrigation water will be available in the coming weeks but on a limited basis. All irrigation user including town residents are restricted to 50% of normal allocations and this makes it imperative that it be used in the most effective manner. Indiscriminate use could result in our ration being used up in May and June and the supply terminated for the rest of the year. Please be aware of the seriousness of the water shortage throughout the whole area and do your part to use wisely the supply that we do have. Your continuous cooperation with this situation will help the town and district to get through this without legislation to force compliance. • wood Burning Stoves in low carbon dwellings
    Energy and Buildings, 2013
Co-Authors: Ricardo Luis Teles De Carvalho, Ole Michael Jensen, Alireza Afshari, Niels Christian Bergsoe
    Abstract:

Abstract The European climate change strategy intends to encourage the erection of low-carbon buildings and the upgrading of existing buildings to low-carbon level. At the same time, it is an EU vision to maximise the use of renewable energy resources. In this strategy, small-scale wood-Burning is an overlooked source for heating. A wood-Burning Stove is considered low-carbon technology since its fuel is based on local residual biomass. A field study investigating how modern wood-Burning Stoves operated in modern single-family houses showed that intermittent heat supply occasionally conflicted with the primary heating system and that chimney exhaust occasionally conflicted with the ventilation system causing overheating and particles in the indoor environment. Nonetheless, most of the wood-Burning Stoves contributed considerably to the total heating. On this background, it was concluded that better combustion technology and automatics, controlling the interplay between Stove and house, can make wood-Burning Stoves suitable for low-carbon dwellings and meet the remaining heat demand during the coldest period. It was further concluded that new guidelines need to be elaborated about how to install and operate new Stoves. For instance, lighting a modern Stove requires far more skill that the scout-fire skill that was necessary for lighting an old Stove.

    Abstract:

PT. Dunia Kimia Jaya merupakan anak perusahaan PT. Lautan Luas, Tbk. PT. PT.

PT.

  • Evaluation of a New System Combining Wood-Burning Stove, Flue Gas Heat Exchanger and Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery in Highly-Insulated Houses
    'Elsevier BV', 2019
Co-Authors: Cablé Axel, Georges Laurent, Peigné Pierre, Skreiberg Øyvind, Druette Lionel
    Abstract:

The performance of an innovative flue gas heat exchanger (FGHE) located at the exit of a wood-Burning Stove (log or pellet) to pre-heat ventilation air has been assessed for highly insulated detached houses. For this purpose, transient thermal simulations (TRNSYS + TRNFlow) were carried out on a Norwegian house typology (passive house standard NS3700) and a French house typology (building regulation RT2012) – both equipped with mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery (MVHR). Seven different climates were considered ranging from mixed (Nice, France) to subarctic conditions (Karasjok, Norway) in order to evaluate the impact of the system in terms of energy use for space-heating and thermal comfort for a broad range of operating conditions. The tested system allowed an improvement of the thermal comfort in the bedrooms furthest away from the Stove: up to 7.6 °C of the 5th percentile of the operative temperature (Top 5%) for France and up to 9.5 °C for Norway, compared to the houses without the system. Furthermore, energy savings of up to 19% over the space-heating season were reported, depending on the type of wood-Burning Stove (i.e. log or pellet) and control used during operation
