    Abstract:

    Four kinds of Casting Process were designed for the rear wearing plate of 65ZGB slurry pump in this paper. The Casting Process design principle, Process parameters, points of attention, and the simulation parameters for the kind of high chromium cast iron Casting were introduced. Huazhu CAE was used to optimize the Casting Process and the best Casting Process was selected. Practical production also showed that the Casting Process can reduce shrinkage defects of the Casting.

    The Casting Process design and simulation of the large-scale volute of dredge pump were presented in this paper. The Casting Process design principle, Process parameters, points of attention, and the simulation parameters were introduced. Huazhu CAE was used to simulate the Casting Process. The STL document used in Huazhu CAE was converted from the 3D moulding of the Casting Process using the Solidwork software. The simulation results and practical production showed that the Casting Process can reduce shrinkage defects of the Casting.

    Abstract:

    The Casting Process design and simulation of a high-manganese steel roller were presented in this paper. The Casting Process design principle, Process parameters, points of attention, and the simulation parameters were introduced. Huazhu CAE was used to simulate the Casting Process. The STL document used in Huazhu CAE was converted from the 3D moulding of the Casting Process using the Solidwork software. The simulation results and practical production showed that the Casting Process can reduce shrinkage defects of the Casting. And practical production also showed that the produced rollers, according to the technique, met the quality demands, such as no crack, no misrun, etc, and they were successfully used at the thermal power plant.

  • DEVELOPMENT TREND AND INVESTMENT OF THIN-SLAB Casting-Process

    Abstract:

    The key point of thin-slab Casting Process is the thin-slab Casting technique, it is necessary to match with the capacity of hot rolling mill to gain better benefit as viewed from the investment. Depending on a variety of resources, energy supplies and product quality requirements, a rational production system should be established according to the BF-BOF or EAF route,matched rolling system. From the cost point of view, the rational production scale for thin-slab Casting Process is ranged from 2,000, 000 to 2, 500, 000 t/a. From the technic-economical analysis,a series of critical value of scrap price has been obtained upon the different Process route at different scale, which is of importance for investment decision making. It is found that the existing BF and BOF equipments as existed capital will match thin-slab Casting Process very well, which will be of very attactive economical benefit and is almost free from the influence caused by the scrap price fluctuation. In this case, the optimal BOF capacity should be larger than 80 t(may be, 120~150 t is better),the coal injection (PCI technique, injected rate of~200 kg/t H. M is suggested) is also helpful for competition. It is recommended that the thickness of hot rolled coils for main products should be ranged from 1~2mm. The relationship between conventional Process and thinslab Casting Process, as suggested, should be cooperated and competitive, or applied independent.The on-going strip Casting Process will play separate role in main aspect, and competitive role in some case.
