Besides, this work preserves the feasible features to conjunct with other optional functionalities, like payment Service and Certification Service, etc. Our proposed system is the state-of-the-art towards to develop the internet integrated Service for mobile devices and applications.

Combining Certification-based Authentication and Intrusion Detection to Secure Manet Routing Protocols

De Sousa, Ludovic MéAbstract:In this paper we describe a new mobile ad hoc networks (Manet) routing protocol security design that combines a certificate-based authentication Service with intrusion detection. Certification Service and IDS are both designed to have distribution, collaboration and selforganization features. Intrusion response is defined in terms of interaction between Certification Service and IDS. The proposed vulnerability analysis and security design are validated using the Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) Protocol. Performance results, obtained from actual implementation of the security Services, are presented, in order to establish the feasibility of the proposed solutions.

A MANET authentication extension (MAE) is appended to each routing protocol message . Our design includes a self-organized Certification Service , adapted from [6] with the following improvements : appropriated initialization , correcting vulnerabilities in the original design ; local certificate management ; and support to multiple Certification Authorities . Our design is policy-configurable in the sense that Certification and authentication Services may be adjusted according to specific security requirements. We discuss the use of MAE and Certification Service for securing DSR, AODV, OLSR and TBRPF MANET routing protocols. We have implemented the MAE securing OLSR and we evaluate computational and network requirements for this case.

De SousaAbstract:In this paper we describe vulnerabilities and possible protections for mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) routing protocols. Vulnerability and adversary models are built to describe impersonation, fabrication and modification attacks. A security model is proposed, considering both preventive and corrective protection. The basic preventive protection consists of a certificate-based authentication mechanism, which is designed as a MANET authentication extension (MAE) that provides authentication for all routing protocol messages. Corrective protection consists of an intrusion detection and response Service (IDS). Certification Service and IDS are both provided in a distributed and self-organized manner. Intrusion response is mainly defined in terms of interaction between Certification Service and IDS. The proposed vulnerability analysis and security design are detailed and validated using the Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) Protocol.

Automated software testing as a Service

We present three kinds of TaaS: a "programmer's sidekick" enabling developers to thoroughly and promptly test their code with minimal upfront resource investment; a "home edition" on-demand testing Service for consumers to verify the software they are about to install on their PC or mobile device; and a public "Certification Service," akin to Underwriters Labs, that independently assesses the reliability, safety, and security of software. TaaS automatically tests software, without human involvement from the Service user's or provider's side. This is unlike today's "testing as a Service" businesses, which employ humans to write tests. Our goal is to take recently proposed techniques for automated testing-even if usable only on toy programs-and make them practical by modifying them to harness the resources of compute clouds. Preliminary work suggests it is technically feasible to do so, and we find that TaaS is also compelling from a social and business point of view. Copyright 2010 ACM.
