Treatment of chronic colitis with retention enema with traditional Chinese Drug after colon dialysis with dialysis machine
Medical Journal of West China, 2009Co-Authors: Liu Fu-wenAbstract:Objective To observe the effect of retention enema with traditional Chinese Drug after colon dialysis with dialysis machine on chronic colitis.Method 96 patients with chronic colitis were randomly divided into two groups,including treatment group(49 cases) and control group(47 cases).The treantment group was treat with retention enema with traditional Chinese Drug after colon cleansing with dialysis machines.The methods to treat the control group was same as the treatment group,but colon cleansing did not use dialysis machines.Results The symptoms of 28 cases of 47 patients in the control group and 41 of 49 patients in the treatment group were relieved.Conclusion Conlon colon cleansing dialysis machines with retention enema decoction of Chinese medicine treatment of chronic colitis,the effect of significantly better than in the traditional Chinese medicine decoction enema treatment of chronic colitis,and the recurrence rate greatly reduced and economic security.

Traditional Chinese Drug administration Tongguanfuyuan decoction following hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy effects pregnancy rate
China Journal of Endoscopy, 2009Co-Authors: Liu Fu-wenAbstract:ObjectiveTo explore the effect of Tongguanfuyuan decoction administration following hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy for pregnancy rate caused by fallopian tube obstruction. Methods62 cases of double fallopian tube obstruction were randomized into two groups, including research group of 32 cases received Tong-guanfuyuan decoction following hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy, and control group of 30 cases received surgery only, both groups were given antibiotics to preventive treatment for three months.ResultsThe post-opera-tive patency rate of fallopian tube was 96.9% and 98.3% in the research and control group respectively. The one-year intrauterine pregnancy rate was 84.4% and 43.3% in the research and control group respectively. There were significant differences of the one-year intrauterine pregnancy rates between the two groups (P 0.01).Conclusion It can achieve a recommendable effect of hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy followed by Tongguanfuyuan de-coction for pregnancy rate caused by fallopian tube obstruction,concluded from the prevention of post-operative con-glutination, increasing the operative achievement ratio,and post-operative pregnancy rate.

Purification of hydroxyanthraquinones and cinnamic acid from the roots of Rheum officinale Baill.
Journal of separation science, 2008Co-Authors: Yanyan Huang, Ailing Sun, Renmin LiuAbstract:A chromatographic method for isolation and purification of chemical constituents from the well-known traditional Chinese Drug Da-huang (roots of Rheum officinale Baill.) was established by using 12% cross-linked agarose gel, Superose 12, as the separation media. A two-step separation procedure is employed. Sixty five percent methanol was used as the eluent for separation of cinnamic acid, rhein, physcion and emodin form Da-huang crude extract. The fraction containing aloe-emodin and chrysophanol was then separated by using 55% methanol containing 0.5% acetic acid as the eluent. As a result, cinnamic acid and five kinds of hydroxyanthraquinones including rhein, aloe-emodin, chrysophanol, physcion and emodin were obtained. The retention behavior of hydroxyanthraquinones on Superose 12 was also studied. The retention of hydroxyanthraquinones on Superose 12 is based on a mixture of hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions between the hydroxyl groups of the hydroxyanthraquinones and the residues of the cross-linking reagents used in the manufacturing process of Superose 12.

Purification of the isoflavonoid puerarin by adsorption chromatography on cross-linked 12% agarose.

A, 2004Co-Authors: Tianwei Tan, Jan-christer JansonAbstract:The isoflavonoid puerarin in extracts of the well-known traditional Chinese Drug Radix puerariae (root of the plant Pueraria lobata) can be separated from other isoflavonoids by adsorption chromatography on the cross-linked 12% agarose gel Superose 12 equilibrated in distilled water. The adsorption is totally quenched by the addition of 50% acetic acid. The separation of the isoflavonoids is tentatively ascribed to interaction with the residues of the cross-linking reagents used in the manufacturing process of Superose 12. Thus, no useful separation can be achieved with non-cross-linked 12% agarose gel media. Symmetric elution profiles at high sample loadings (16 mg on a 24 ml column) suggest linear adsorption isotherms for the isoflavonoids.

Quality evaluation of traditional Chinese Drug toad venom from different origins through a simultaneous determination of bufogenins and indole alkaloids by HPLC.
Chemical & pharmaceutical bulletin, 2005Co-Authors: Ping Zhang, Zheng Cui, Yashu Liu, Dong Wang, Na Liu, Masayuki YoshikawaAbstract:A simple and efficient HPLC method has been developed to evaluate the quality of traditional Chinese medicine toad venoms. The major bioactive ingredients, including 10 bufogenins and 4 indole alkaloids in the Drug, were separated and quantified on a phenyl-hexyl column with a UV detector. A total of 27 toad venom samples from two species, Bufo bufo gargarizans CANTOR and Bufo melanostictus SCHNEIDER, from the different Drug production regions of China, were analyzed. The chromatograms showed significant differences with respect to the samples from different origins. These toad venom samples can be distinctly classified into 4 groups by cluster analysis using the contents of the 14 main constituents, including toad venom samples from B. bufo gargarizans from north China, median China and south China, and samples from B. melanostictus from south China. Toad venom samples from B. bufo gargarizans from median China were considered to be of the highest quality.
