    Abstract:

    Under international and regional human rights treaties, state parties have the obligation to secure to everyone within their jurisdiction certain human rights and freedoms. This article focusses on the Climate Dimension of such human rights obligations. It analyses the substantive content of human rights obligations in a Climate change context and presents the argument that in order not to violate the positive obligation to secure human rights from the threats of Climate change impacts, states must take all adequate and appropriate measures at the level of their highest possible ambition to hold temperature increases to well below 2oC above pre-industrial levels, and to pursue efforts to hold them to 1.5oC. Achieving this temperature goal necessitates a global phase-out of greenhouse gas emissions by around 2050. This, in turn, requires of each state to have a comprehensive regulatory, administrative and institutional framework in place to pursue this end, and to ensure its effective implementation, compliance and enforcement. This article is divided in four parts. It will briefly explain the factual linkages between Climate change impacts and human systems, before, third, discussing Climate change as a matter of human rights law. The substantive (Climate) content of human rights obligations, especially under articles 2 and 8 ECHR, is analysed in part four.

    Abstract:

    The distribution of digital media seems to impact on daily communication media usage and invest a lot of money on digital living. This study aims to examine the effects of digital culture and digital media on the happiness and well-being of rural people (n=387, α=0.05) in the Koakha and Thagham sub districts in Lampang and Singhburi provinces.The results found that the majority samples perceived the highest score ( = 4.01, s.d.=0.9) on analogue television and personal communication which influences six factors; 1)health and mind Dimension; 2)job security Dimension; 3)economic security Dimension; 4) community and family relationships; 5) administrative management Dimension; 6) community environment and Climate Dimension together where they are entwined and cannot be easily separated. Investing in modern media tools and systems (social networks, mobile devices, digital television), should be embraced, though they should be treated with caution. It is also crucial to account for any unintended effects, such as unfiltered or unverified information. The paper further questions the role of local government, and their role in promoting local identity, social policy and how digitisation could assist in serving those living outside of major cities in Thailand.

    Abstract:

    Purpose of the Study: Organizational Climate is considered as the perception of the organization by the employees and it is one of the aspects to study the organizational behavior of the human resources in organizations. The purpose of the study is to measure the perception of hospital staff about structural organizational Climate Dimensions. The Dimensions are formalization and working conditions. Methodology: The study was conducted at seven select hospitals of Manipur and employed a structured questionnaire to collect data from the staff like doctors, nurses, and those who are working in the management levels with a sample size of 323. The valid data was statistically analyzed using IBM: SPSS Statistics Version 22. Findings: The results indicated that the socio-demographic factor age is the only factor that significantly influences the variation of perception of the staff towards working conditions; while gender and educational qualification of the staff are those factors that significantly influence the variation in their perception towards formalization. Besides a staff of government hospitals have a significantly higher perception of the working condition than those of private hospitals, while staffs of private hospitals have a significantly higher perception of formalization than those of government hospitals. Application of the study: The outcome of the research would enlighten that by giving importance to the structural Organizational Climate Dimensions of the hospital structure, the behavior of the employees can be boosted which then leads to better hospital functioning. The findings would be of immense help to academicians, researchers as well as hospital administration or management for proper policy planning for efficient and effective organizational goal attainment. Novelty/originality of the study: In this research, the model of hospital staff perception of structural organizational Climate Dimension is presented comprehensively and completely.

    Abstract:

    Abstract This paper examines and analyses weather data in Oman to re-encode the appropriate Climate Dimension to generate solar energy. It also suggested prediction models that could accurately predict future weather information. The present study aims to help decision-makers take the necessary measures to address the demand for renewable energy generation and solutions to environmental problems by taking advantage of long daylight hours in Oman to increase the production of alternative and clean electricity. There is no doubt that different environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, wind intensity and rain have a significant impact on the amount of solar cells produced. However, accurate forecasting of temperature and humidity helps to select the best weather conditions that can help raise the generation of solar energy and reduce the cost of production, leading to an increase in the economic income of countries. This paper presents various mathematical prediction models based on a multi-boundary score (2, 3, 4), which has the value of the R2 determination factor equal to (0.9335, 0.9603, 0.9977), respectively. The column test results (Prob> F) proved that the null hypothesis was accepted and rejected the alternative hypothesis. Thus, all the results are less than the significant value (0.5), and each variable has an average value or less than the mean value of the test (26). Therefore, there are no significant differences or unusual cases in historical temperature data in Oman from 1991 to 2015. Also, the prediction values corresponding to the actual temperature in the future, which helps to predict and analyze the temperature data at any time.

    Abstract:

    With the aim of investigating the possible moderating effect of job control and dispositional mindfulness between different sources of organizational stress and job satisfaction, a correlational study was designed involving health care workers (HCWs). The following questionnaires were administered and completed by 237 HCWs: (1) Occupational Stress Indicator (OSI), to measure the sources of stress at work (managerial role, Climate power, Climate structure, internal relationships), and job satisfaction; (2) Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) to assess the individual’s level of attention to what is taking place in the present; (3) Job Control Scale (JCS) to assess the perceived control at work. Hierarchical regression analyses were used to test the hypothesized relationships between variables; the results showed that, between the different sources of stress, the organizational Climate Dimension was negatively associated with job satisfaction; moreover, mindfulness attention moderated the relationship between Climate stress and job satisfaction; unexpectedly, the interaction between job control and the organizational Climate Dimension was not significant in affecting job satisfaction. This study can provide useful information for Human Resources Management (HRM) practices regarding job and mental control interventions and empowerment, and possibly offer a new interpretation of the role of attention to what is happening in the present moment and autonomy between Climate stressors and occupational satisfaction.
