    Abstract:

    BACKGROUND AND AIM: To evaluate the expression of cell proliferation and apoptosis in Congenital Pulmonary Cyst and investigate their effects in the development of Congenital Pulmonary Cyst. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Immunohistochemical method was used to measure the expressions of Ki-67、Bcl-2 and Bax in normal lung tissue from 5 children(control group 1),relative normal lung tissue around the Cyst from 5 patients with Congenital Pulmonary Cyst(control group 2)and abnormal lung tissue from 30 with Congenital Pulmonary Cyst. RESULTS: The expressions of Ki-67,Bax and the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 in Congenital Pulmonary Cyst were significantly higher than those in the two control groups(P0.05)while the expression of Bcl-2 was markedly lower(P0.01).In those with Congenital Pulmonary Cyst, the expressions of Bax and Bcl-2 in ciliated epithelial cells(CEC) were much lower than that in non-ciliated epithelial cells (P0.01) while the ratios of Bax/Bcl-2 was much higher (P0.01). CONCLUSION: Cell proliferation and apoptosis in Congenital Pulmonary Cyst were significantly higher than those in control groups. This indicated that the imbalance of both could play important roles in the development of Congenital Pulmonary Cyst.

    Abstract:

    Objective To summarize the experience of diagnosis and treatment of pectus excavatum associated with Congenital Pulmonary disease in children.Methods The data of 91 patients with pectus excavatum associated with Congenital Pulmonary disease was collected from July 2002 to August 2010 in Beijing Children's Hospital.There were 64 males and 27 females.30 patients with pectus excavatum associated with Congenital Pulmonary Cyst,Congenital Cystic adenomatoid malformation,Pulmonary sequestration,and some severe cases of Congenital lobar emphysema received the Nuss surgery and lobectomy simultaneously.Results 30 cases with pectus excavatum asseeiated with Congenital Pulmonary disease received simultaneous Nuss procedure and lobectomy.All cases were confirmed by pathology and recovered uneventfully.Conclusion Chest CT scan is an effective way to evaluate pectus excavatum associated with Pulmonary diseases.Whether surgery is needed for the Pulmonary disease depend on the specific types of disease,age and other various factors.Simultaneous surgery for pectus excavatum and Pulmonary disease can lower the risk of the multiple operations,and reduce the financial burden of famihes.     Abstract:

    Objective To review the experience of surgical treatment for Congenital Pulmonary Cyst. Methods Fifty patients were operated under general anaesthesia. There were 6 giant tension Cysts which were decompressed pre operatively by drainage. Simple Cyst resections were carried out in 9, both wedge and segmental resections were carried out in 2, lobectomy in 36, and pneumonectomy in 1. Results There was no operative mortality. Bronchopleural fistula occurred in 1 case. Conclusions Congenital Pulmonary Cysts should be diagnosed early and treated promptly. Giant tension Cysts should be resected as soon as possible after being drained. Operative methods and extent of resection depend on the size, number, site of the Cyst and the function of the remaining lung.

    Abstract:

    Objective To observe the expression of cell proliferation and apoptosis in Congenital Pulmonary Cyst and to investigate their effect in the development of aspergillus.Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of KI-67、BCL-2 and BAX in normal lung tissue from 10 adult(control group 1,CG1),relative normal lung tissue around the aspergillus from 20 aspergillus cases(control group 2,CG2)and abnormal lung tissue from 20 aspergillus cases.Results The expressions of KI-67,BAX and the ratio of BAX/BCL-2 in the bronchial epithelium of aspergillus were significantly higher than those in two control groups(P0.01)while the expression of BCL-2 was obviously lower(P0.05).In aspergillus cases,the ratio of BAX/BCL-2 in IPA was much higher than that in Aspergilloma and ABPA(P0.05).Conclusion The imbalance of cell proliferation and apoptosis in bronchial epithelium of aspergillus played an important role in pathogenesis of aspergillus infection.
