Methods Seventy-two patients with Congestive Heart Failure were examined, who were divided into four subgroups classified by the criteria of the New York Heart Association (NYHA). Also, 10 age-matched subjects were served as a control. Plasma arginine vasopressin (AVP), norepinephrine, atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) were determined. Cardiac index and pulmonary capillary wedge pressure (PCWP) were measured in 51 of 72 patients. Results Plasma AVP levels were significantly increased according to the severity of NYHA classes; control: 1.7±0.2; NYHA I: 4.9±0.8, NYHA II: 5.5±0.9, NYHA III: 13.4±2.6 ( p p r =−0.36, p r =0.44, p Conclusion The present study indicates that increased AVP may deteriorate cardiac function through V 1a as well as V 2 action, and that plasma AVP level is also a proper marker for the presence and severity of Congestive Heart Failure.

The effect of left ventricular dilatation on the risk of Heart Failure in people initially free of myocardial infarction is not known. Methods We examined the relation of the left ventricular end-diastolic and end-systolic internal dimensions, as measured by M-mode echocardiography, to the risk of Congestive Heart Failure in 4744 subjects (2661 women and 2083 men) who had not sustained a myocardial infarction and who were free of Congestive Heart Failure. We used sex-stratified proportional-hazards regression to assess the association between base-line left ventricular internal dimensions and the subsequent risk of Congestive Heart Failure, after adjusting for age, blood pressure, hypertension treatment, body-mass index, diabetes, valve disease, and interim myocardial infarction. The problem that arises is hypervolemia or intracellular fluid resuscitation to the interstitial that causes edema so that can be arranged nursing intervention one of them is giving diuretic and monitor fluid balance. Describes nursing care performed in Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients with hypervolemia. Method: This study uses data analysis method that is conducting the nursing process of two patients Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) who suffered from Hypervolemia disorder and then compared with case study journal as well as other sources. Result: After nursing action in both patients the Hipervolemia problem is equally partially resolved by fluid restriction nursing interventions, and the administration of diuretics. Conclusion: In providing nursing care to patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) should pay attention to fluid restriction and appropriate diuretic administration to reduce edema. Congestive Heart Failure after treatment for wilms tumor a report from the national wilms tumor study group

PATIENTS AND METHODS: Flow sheets and medical records were reviewed to identify cases of Congestive Heart Failure in a cohort of patients treated on National Wilms’ Tumor Studies (NWTS)-1, -2, -3, and -4. The frequency of Congestive Heart Failure was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method. A case-control study was conducted to determine the relationship among cumulative doxorubicin dose, site(s), total dose of abdominal and thoracic irradiation, sex, and the frequency of Congestive Heart Failure. RESULTS: The cumulative frequency of Congestive Heart Failure was 4.4% at 20 years after diagnosis among patients treated initially with doxorubicin and 17.4% at 20 years after diagnosis among those treated with doxorubicin for their first or subsequent relapse of Wilms’ tumor.
