International virtual library projects in Health Sciences: Characteristics and good practices
Ibersid, 2016Co-Authors: Marta Sofía Valero, J A Salvador OlivánAbstract:The characteristics of a representative set of Health Sciences virtual libraries were analyzed with the further aim of identifying good practices that could be to put into practice in the Spanish context. Projects were selected in countries with a decentralized health management system similar the Spanish one. The following variables were analyzed: structure, financing, Content, Process coordination and interlibrary cooperation bodies. Also, good practices that can be applied to the Spanish national model were identified, of which we highlight the centralization of Processes and the presence of organisms or interlibrary cooperation.

Role of Inter-organizational Knowledge Networks in Innovation-driven Collaborations of Biotechnology Industry
2013 46th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2013Co-Authors: Adel Moslehi, Henry LingerAbstract:This exploratory and ongoing research aims to extend our understanding of knowledge networking and its role in inter-organizational collaboration. In the context of organizational innovativeness, while the line of current research has mainly focused on structural aspects of knowledge network, to study the role of knowledge network on innovation, this research explores knowledge Content and knowledge Process aspects of firms' network beyond the structural element. The context of our study is the patent co-authorship networks of biotechnology firms in Victoria, Australia. The data were extracted via the Australia patent database (Auspat) from 2001-2010. Using social network analysis and statistical analyses, our study examines knowledge network of firms in terms of Content, Process and structure of the network. The result highlights the need for understanding the interactions among these three aspects of knowledge networks and provides some suggestions for the current conflict in theoretical arguments and empirical results identified in this literature.

Development, Content, Process and outcome of an online peer supervision group for counselor trainees
Computers in Human Behavior, 2008Co-Authors: Tai Chang, Lillian Chiang, Christopher M. Drost, Dorota Spelliscy, Robert T. Carter, Yaowen ChangAbstract:This study investigated the development, Content, Process, and outcome of an online peer supervision group (OPSG) for counselor trainees. Outcome measures determined that participants felt comfortable, confident, and open to using the OPSG. In addition, counselor trainees reported a preference for using aliases online to foster more sharing. In terms of Content, topics in the group focused on mostly professional identity (40.1%) and therapeutic techniques (22.5%). A discourse analysis of the group revealed a high percentage of messages were experiential self-disclosure (40.0%) and guidance (20.0%). Our findings indicate that the components and Content found in supervision groups, and in group Process more generally, can take place in OPSGs. The role of computers in psychological training is discussed.
