Value-Driven Risk Analysis of Coordination Models
2016Co-Authors: Dan Ionita, Jaap Gordijn, Ahmed Seid Yesuf, Roel WieringaAbstract:Coordination Processes are business Processes that involve independent profit-and-loss responsible business actors who collectively provide something of value to a customer. Coordination Processes are meant to be profitable for the business actors that execute them. However, because business actors are independent, there is also an increased risk of fraud. To compute profitability as well as quantify the risk of fraud, we need to attach value models to Coordination Process models. In this paper, we propose guidelines for deriving a value model from any Coordination Process model. Next, we show how our approach can be used to identify possibilities of fraud offered by a Coordination Process, as well as quantify the financial impact of known fraudulent Processes. Finally, we discuss additional applications, such as identifying commercially superfluous tasks, or missing tasks needed to achieve a financially sustainable Process.

Researching on the Energy Security’s Temporal and Spatial Coordination Process of National Industrialization

This paper tries to summarize the law about energy security’s temporal and spatial Coordination in the Process of national industrialization. On the base of the interrelation and interaction between the temporal and spatial Process in terms of the long-term practice of world’s energy security,the paper constructs the theory of temporal and spatial Coordination Process which includes its concept,mechanism and the way to achieve the goal. The energy security could be safeguarded only when the temporal Process and spatial Process coordinate at the same time,namely,the energy consumption should be supported by related resource basement. Therefore a new energy policy,trying to coordinate temporal Process and spatial Process,should be made for China’s sustainable development in the future.

Coordination Method for Distributed Supply Chain Planning Based on Lagrangian Relaxation
Control Engineering of China, 2006Co-Authors: Jin Yi-huiAbstract:To the supply chain planning problem without a Coordination center,a decentralized asynchronous Coordination method based on Lagrangian relaxation algorithm is presented.By relaxing the material flow balance constraints among the enterprises,the whole supply chain planning problem is decomposed into multiple single-enterprise planning sub-problems,which can be solved with the local information.So,each enterprise production planning model can be set up and solved independently with the discount-prices,i.e.Lagrangian multipliers,which are given by the upstream or downstream enterprise.To obtain the feasible solution,a distributed heuristics algorithm is proposed.During the Coordination Process,through iteratively updating the discount-prices among the enterprises,the near optimal solution can be achieved.The computational experiments show that the method can solve the supply chain planning problem efficiently.

Coordination method for multi-plant supply chain planning optimization based on augmented Lagrangian relaxation
Journal of Tsinghua University, 2005Co-Authors: Jin Yi-huiAbstract:Traditional centralized optimization methods can not easily solve the multi-plant supply chain planning problem with a distributed decision-making structure.A decentralized Coordination method based on the augmented Lagrangian relaxation algorithm was developed by relaxing the material flow balance constraints between plants so that the supply chain planning problem is decomposed into multiple single-plant planning sub-problems,which can be solved with the local information.Each plant production planning model can then be solved independently with the inner-prices,i.e.the Lagrangian multipliers,given by the Coordination center.The solution is obtained using a distributed forward heuristics algorithm.The near optimal solution can be achieved during the Coordination Process by iteratively updating the inner-prices in the Coordination center.Computational tests show that the method can efficiently solve the multi-plant supply chain planning problem.
