The Complex System Characteristic Analysis of Enterprise Financial Core Competence
2009 International Conference on Information Management Innovation Management and Industrial Engineering, 2009Co-Authors: Jingpu ChenAbstract:This paper elaborates the enterprise's financial Core Competence from the perspective of this theory's putting forward, formation and internal structure, as well as the elements and the relationship between elements. On this basis, this paper employs complex adaptive system to define the complex systematic features of financial Core Competence and make clear the subject of financial Core Competence and other basic contents of complex system. It also describes the dynamic features of financial Core Competence through the evolution of financial Core Competence's subject, and the transforming rules between elements.

Evolutionary Research on Financial Core Competence Based on Complex Systematic Theory
2009 Second International Symposium on Knowledge Acquisition and Modeling, 2009Co-Authors: Jingpu ChenAbstract:Financial Core Competence is dynamic in the process of the corporation's development. This paper analyzed the evolution process of the financial Core Competence system by use of complex systematic theory and ascertained that financial Core Competence system is a complex and adaptable system. According to the principle of complex systematic theory, the systematic evolution process model is established, including three stages, ascertaining subject, the evolution of subject and individual and the whole systematic evolution. Finally this paper utilized this evolution model into Hebei Construction Investment Co., Ltd. for Energy as to make validation analysis and got the evolution process of this company's financial Core Competence.

Study on Core Competence of Military Materials Supply Chain
2007 International Conference on Service Systems and Service Management, 2007Co-Authors: Baofeng Li, Darong LingAbstract:Military materials supply chain (MMSC) is the bridge of transforming national economy into military forces. In the operational process to utilize resources creating military customers demand value, MMSC generate some kind of "potential energy" at the same time, which is just as the rise of human capability accompany with people's growth. On the basis of reviewing the representative standpoints on Core Competence conception all over the world, the authors analyze the development of MMSC Core Competence, and then establish the model framework of MMSC Core Competence according to modern military logistics support principles. Finally, the relationships of MMSC Core Competence layers are discussed.

Study on Dynamic Management of Military Logistics System Core Competence
2007 IEEE International Conference on Automation and Logistics, 2007Co-Authors: Baofeng Li, Darong LingAbstract:Military Logistics System (MLS) is the bridge of transforming national economy into military forces. On one hand, MLS is linking suppliers in the market and acquires goods from them. On the other hand, it is centralizing the demands of military customers and implementing support activities. The particular positions and roles of MLS decides that it should not only follow economic rules of commercial practice and improve procurement fund efficiency furthest, but also responds to military customers demand timely according to modern logistics support principles. On the basis of reviewing the representative standpoints both on military logistics system Core Competence conception and on Core Competence dynamic management all over the world, the authors analyze the dynamic development mechanism of MLS Core Competence, and then establish the dynamic management model framework for MLS Core Competence. In conclusion, the authors think that the most important thing is not the MLS Core Competence itself for MLS, but is the dynamic management capability with the characteristics of identifying MLS Core Competence as soon as possible, cultivating MLS Core Competence quickly, deploying MLS Core Competence actively and appraising MLS Core Competence in real-time.

adding dynamics to Core Competence concept applications
European Business Review, 2013Co-Authors: Urban LjungquistAbstract:Purpose – This paper seeks to enhance practical applications, by refining the original Core Competence concept to better fit dynamic environments.Design/methodology/approach – This paper combines theoretical research streams treating Core Competence and dynamic capability.Findings – The original Core Competence concept cannot help managers with today's dynamic business environments. This paper theoretically reviews conceptions of Core Competence to enhance dynamism and better align theory and practice. The author concludes that a Core Competence could become more dynamic in three ways, by: balancing itself with the external environment and including external activities and processes; reducing path‐dependency influences; and carefully “orchestrating” resources, by guidance rather than control, to release the inherent potential of project teams.Research limitations/implications – The author rejuvenates a popular concept by including contemporary, more dynamic considerations; however, his propositions need t...

specification of Core Competence and associated components
European Business Review, 2008Co-Authors: Urban LjungquistAbstract:Purpose – To outline a Core Competence model by exploring links between Core Competence and the associated concepts of competencies, capabilities, and resources, and by proposing refinements to the characteristics of these concepts.Design/methodology/approach – A case study based primarily on personal interviews.Findings – The findings suggest that competencies, capabilities, and resources are all linked to Core‐competencies; the first two continuously, and the third intermittently; motivate refinement of the Competence concept, by adding adaptation Competence as governing customer loyalty, and transfer Competence as managing transcendental integration; and motivate refinement of the capability concept, by adding capacity as a quality characteristic, and communication as a characteristic that can actively initiate organizational change.Research limitations/implications – The paper outlines a Core Competence model and propose refinements of the characteristics and links of the concepts, contributing to bot...

Research on the evaluation of enterprise's Core Competence based on membership conversion
2010 International Conference on Networking and Digital Society, 2010Co-Authors: Yao Ligen, Dong ZhenlinAbstract:Based on enterprise Core Competence theory, the article attempts to conduct a research on the evaluation of enterprise's Core Competence from intellectual capital perspective by using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. After introducing Core Competence theory and the relationship between Core Competence and intellectual capital, we constructed an evaluation index system on the basis of structure of intellectual capital and also established a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model basing on membership conversion. The case analysis presented proves that this model is feasible and simple and the result of appraisal is practical and reliable.

The Study on Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Model of Enterprise's Core Competence Based on BSC
2009 Second International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Design, 2009Co-Authors: Yao Ligen, Zhao CairongAbstract:The enterprise's Core Competence is one of the key factors to decide whether an enterprise succeeds or not. Therefore, it is important to evaluate enterprise's Core Competence. First, this paper uses the BSC and Competence theories to constructs the evaluation index system of enterprise's Core Competence. Second, the paper determines the weights of the indexes by AHP. Third, the paper constructs a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of enterprise's Core Competence using the fuzzy mathematics theory. Finally, with an example, the paper calculates the Core Competence of the enterprise by using this model. This study helps the enterprise to strength its Core Competence.
