    Abstract:

    Case Presentation: 65-day-old female presented to the Emergency Department with one-day history of irritability, feeding intolerance, and increased fatigue. Child was a term infant with no relevant past medical history, however, patient was breastfed and her mother was currently being treated for cellulitis with trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole. Sepsis protocol initiated; blood and urine cultures, CBC, metabolic panel, and lactic acid immediately obtained. Child empirically started on ceftriaxone and vancomycin.
