Computer Engineering, 2004Co-Authors: Qin Zhi-guangAbstract:Cryptography Algorithm is the core of Cryptography technology. Based on the introduction of some theoretical backgrounds, this paper discusses and analyses the update state of the Cryptography Algorithm. In studying symmetric-key (secret key) Cryptography Algorithm, the disadvantages of DES and the advantages of AES are analysed. In studying public-key Cryptography Algorithm, RSA and its unfavorable situation, ECC and its benefits, and some precautions in using ECC are discussed. Besides, NTRU is described and investigated. The paper ends with the perspectives of Cryptography Algorithm ,its applications and standardization.

An efficient and effective lossless symmetric key Cryptography Algorithm for an image
2014 International Conference on Advances in Engineering & Technology Research (ICAETR - 2014), 2014Co-Authors: Niraj Kumar, Sanjay AgrawalAbstract:Modern era is fully dependent on internet communication. Through internet we can transfer data anywhere in the world. The Internet was born of academic efforts to share information; it never strove for the high security process. It plays a vital role in becoming people online, it is easy and effective but dangerous too in terms of data hacking and cracking by hackers. It is needed that while using Internet data must be secured and personal. Encryption can be used to protect data during transmission. Image encryption is a suitable process to protect image data. There are many cryptographic Algorithms which are being used to secure multimedia data like images, but they have some advantages and disadvantages. So there is a requirement to develop a strong Cryptography Algorithm for securing the image while transferring. In this paper, a new symmetric key Cryptography Algorithm is proposed here for color 3D images. In this Algorithm a different type of key generation method is being used. This technique is unique for key generation. Here two public key is the use of Cryptography process. Key generation is very important in symmetric as well as in the asymmetric key cryptographic Algorithm. Here, the proposed work of developing a new symmetric key Cryptography Algorithm for image data to provide a secure transmission during the network communication. All the concepts related to this research area are explained. This Algorithm reduces lossless of image pixel during encryption and decryption.

Boolean Algebra based effective and efficient asymmetric key Cryptography Algorithm: BAC Algorithm
2013 International Mutli-Conference on Automation Computing Communication Control and Compressed Sensing (iMac4s), 2013Co-Authors: Niraj Kumar, Pankaj Gupta, Monika Sahu, M A RizviAbstract:The Internet was born of academic efforts to share information; it never strove for high security measures. It plays important role in becoming people online, this mode is easy and effective but dangerous too in terms of data hacking and cracking by unauthorized persons. It is needed that while using Internet data must be secured and personal. Encryption can be used to protect data in transit, for example data being transferred via network (e.g. the Internet, e-commerce), mobile telephones, wireless microphones, wireless intercom systems, Bluetooth devices and bank automatic teller machines. Encrypting data in transit also helps to secure it as it is often difficult to physically secure all access to networks. Encryption, by itself, can protect the confidentiality of messages, but other techniques are still needed to protect the integrity and authenticity of a message; for example, verification of a message authentication codes (MAC) or a digital signature. Standards and cryptographic software and hardware to perform encryption are widely available, but successfully using encryption to ensure security may be a challenging problem. A single slip-up in system design or execution can allow successful attacks. Sometimes an adversary can obtain unencrypted information without directly undoing the encryption. In this paper an attempt is made to develop new encryption and decryption Algorithm and implemented in Java, it gives very encouraging results in small as well as in large data files.

issues and challenges in symmetric key based cryptographic Algorithm for videos and images
2013Co-Authors: Niraj Kumar, Sanjay AgrawalAbstract:Modern era is fully dependent on internet communication. Through internet we can transfer data anywhere in the world. Through these various activities can be done such as online bill payment, shopping. The network is currently used for carrying personal information as well as financial data. Thus, it is necessary to secure the network, in order that unauthorized person cannot access personal information. Cryptography is used for protecting data in network channel on the move. Encrypting information in transit helps to secure it from hacker, because it is difficult to physically secure all access to networks. So there is need to develop a strong Cryptography Algorithm for securing the image and video while transferring. Graphical data is complicated in comparison with other data like text, so the method of securing them will also be complicated. information dependability in distributed systems the dependable distributed storage system
Computer-Aided Engineering, 2014Co-Authors: Salvatore Distefano, Antonio PuliafitoAbstract:In distributed infrastructures data are usually scattered among different nodes and thus accessible by several users. It is therefore necessary to provide mechanisms and tools for managing the information, ensuring the access exclusively to authorized users avoiding malicious ones. Furthermore, satisfactory performance and adequate fault tolerance have to be provided while addressing information confidentiality, availability and integrity issues. In this paper we face the problem of data dependability in distributed system, proposing a redundant lightweight Cryptography Algorithm combining symmetric and asymmetric Cryptography approaches. The proposed Algorithm, named dependable distributed storage system D^{2}S^{2}, has been implemented on top of the Grid gLite middleware file access and replica management libraries, as a file system service with Cryptography capability, redundancy management and POSIX interface. To demonstrate the effectiveness and the applicability of the D^{2}S^{2} gLite implementation, performance and reliability of its operations have been evaluated and compared to those of existing solutions. The tests have been performed on real applications to provide a complete overview of the D^{2}S^{2} implementation. The results thus obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the D^{2}S^{2} implementation also compared to existing solutions and former implementations.

an extended visual Cryptography Algorithm for general access structures
IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, 2012Co-Authors: Kaihui Lee, Peiling ChiuAbstract:Conventional visual secret sharing schemes generate noise-like random pixels on shares to hide secret images. It suffers a management problem, because of which dealers cannot visually identify each share. This problem is solved by the extended visual Cryptography scheme (EVCS), which adds a meaningful cover image in each share. However, the previous approaches involving the EVCS for general access structures suffer from a pixel expansion problem. In addition, the visual Cryptography (VC)-based approach needs a sophisticated codebook design for various schemes. In this paper, we propose a general approach to solve the above- mentioned problems; the approach can be used for binary secret images in noncomputer-aided decryption environments. The pro- posed approach consists of two phases. In the first phase, based on a given access structure, we construct meaningless shares using an optimization technique and the construction for conventional VC schemes. In the second phase, cover images are added in each share directly by a stamping Algorithm. The experimental results indicate that a solution to the pixel expansion problem of the EVCS for GASs is achieved. Moreover, the display quality of the recovered image is very close to that obtained using conventional VC schemes.
