  • comparison of super mini percutaneous nephroscopy and ureteral soft endoscopy in the treatment of renal calculi with high Ct Value and diameter of 2 3 cm
    Central Plains Medical Journal, 2019
    Co-Authors: Jinhui Yang
    Abstract:

ObjeCtive To investigate the clinical Value of ultramicro-percutaneous nephroscopy and flexible ureteroscope in the treatment of kidney stones with diameter of 2-3 cm and high Ct Value. Methods A total of 50 cases of renal calculi from January 2018 to OCtober 2018 in Luoyang Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University were seleCted and divided into two groups, with 25 cases in each group. The patients with renal calculi in the study group were treated with super-mini percutaneous nephroscopy and the patients with renal calculi in the control group were treated with ureteroscopic surgery. Results The operation time and postoperative hospitalization time in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the control group. The stone clearance rate in the study group (100.00%) was higher than that in the control group (80.00%, P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative adverse reaCtions in the study group (12.00%) was lower than that in the control group (36.0%, P<0.05). Conclusions Ultrasound percutaneous nephroscopy is effeCtive and safe in the treatment of kidney stones with diameter of 2-3 cm and high Ct Value. Key words: Kidney stone; Flexible ureteroscope; Super-mini percutaneous nephroscope; Stone diameter; High Ct Value

  • relationship between the Ct Value and cortical bone thickness at implant recipient sites and primary implant stability with comparison of different implant types
Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, 2016
Co-Authors: Miori Howashi, Yoshihiro Tsukiyama, Yasunori Ayukawa, Masafumi Kihara, Yu Imai, Motofumi Sogo, Kei Isodaakizuki, Kiyoshi Koyano
    Abstract:

Background Studies have shown that bone quality at the implant recipient site can influence primary stability. Purpose The aims of this study were to explore the quantitative estimation of the primary stability of implants preoperatively using Ct Values and to examine the effeCt of different implant designs with recommended socket preparation on primary stability. Materials and Methods Forty-four fresh porcine femoral heads were prepared. The bone surrounding implant sockets was preoperatively evaluated by helical Ct. Forty-four implants (φ 4.3 × 10 mm), 22 straight and 22 tapered, were placed according to the manufaCturer's instruCtions. The insertion torque Value (ITV), implant stability quotient (ISQ), and removal torque Value (RTV) were recorded as indicators of primary implant stability. Results Significant correlations and linear relationships were found between the Ct Value and ITV, ISQ, and RTV for both straight and tapered implants (Spearman's correlation coefficient, p < .001; linear regression analysis, p < .01). Tapered implants had a significantly higher ITV than straight implants (analysis of covariance, p < .01). Conclusions Obtained results suggest that the primary stability of implants could be quantitatively estimated using the Ct Value preoperatively, indicating the Ct Value of bone surrounding an implant can contribute considerably to implant planning and design choice in clinical situations.

  • Medisastinal tuberculous lymphadenitis in adult:dynamic Ct-Value and pathologic analysis
    Hainan Medical Journal, 2011
    Co-Authors: He Xiao-dong
    Abstract:

ObjeCtive To evaluate the relationship between dynamic Ct-Value and pathology of mediastinal tuberculous lymphadenitis in adult. Methods 8 cases with mediastinal tuberculous lymphadenitis comfirmed by mediastinoscopy, operation, biopsy and anti-tuberculous therapy were restrospeCtively colleCted, including five cases of plain and 3 plain after the enhanced scan. The number, size and location of lymph nodes were recorded, and Ct Value of centers and sub-centers and edge of interest lymph nodes was measured. Results Plain cases:mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes were deteCted in 67,with the size of 1.0~3.2 cm.Enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes were found in Zone 2 or more(2R and 4R distriCt 39%,7R distriCt 12%,2L distriCt 7%,distriCt 5 and distriCt 10R 5%).Ct mean Value was(47.5±12.13) Hu.Enhanced case:there were 19 enhanced lymph nodes.Ct Values from seleCted interesting 7 was measured respeCtively, including injeCtion 180 seconds,50 seconds,70 seconds,120 seconds and 180 seconds. They were(76.3±18.09)Hu,(73.76±15.27)Hu,(78.3±18.81)Hu,(75.42±17.95)Hu,(71.3±19.21)Hu.Conclusion Arterial phase dynamic Ct was obviously enhanced, and delayed venous phase enhanced scanning was maintained at the level of arterial platform like change, refleCting the pathological lymph node tuberculosis chronic infeCtion state.

  • Utility of Maximum Ct Value in PrediCting the Invasiveness of Pure Ground-Glass Nodules.
    Clinical lung cancer, 2020
Co-Authors: Junji Ichinose, Yohei Kawaguchi, Masayuki Nakao, Yosuke Matsuura, Sakae Okumura, Hironori Ninomiya, Katsunori Oikado, Makoto Nishio, Mingyon Mun
    Abstract:

AbstraCt Purpose To prediCt the histologic invasiveness of pure GGNs using the maximum Ct Value. Patients and Methods One hundred eighty patients underwent a reseCtion of pure GGNs. On preoperative Ct imaging studies, we seleCted the axial seCtion that showed the densest component of each GGN. The Ct Value was measured using a DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) viewer, excluding portions of vessels and bronchi. The correlation between the Ct Value and GGN histologic diagnosis was analyzed. Results The numbers of patients with atypical adenomatous hyperplasia, adenocarcinoma-in-situ (AIS), minimally invasive adenocarcinoma (MIA), and invasive adenocarcinoma (IAC) were 9, 108, 56, and 7, respeCtively. One of the IAC tumors exhibited lymphatic invasion, and there were no cases of vascular invasion. In comparison to preinvasive lesions (atypical adenomatous hyperplasia and AIS), invasive lesions (MIA and IAC) were correlated with a higher maximum Ct Value (−404 ± 113 Hounsfield units [HU] vs. −216 ± 125 HU, P  Conclusion IAC and MIA accounted for 4% and 31% of the pure GGN lesions, respeCtively. Higher maximum Ct Value (≥ −300 HU) was a useful prediCtor of histologic invasiveness.
