  • Analysis of the Tip-Timing Precision of Double-Shielded Capacitive Pulse Sensor
2009 International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2009
Co-Authors: Fajie Duan, Ouyang Tao, Xianghong Kong
    Abstract:

A Double-Shielded Capacitive Pulse Sensor designed for the measurement of blade tip clearance and blade time of arrival is introduced combined with its post-circuit. On the basis of research, the accuracy of measurement concerns with the tip-timing precision of the sensor which is determined by the zero-crossing point of the signal. As the influence factors of the precision, the discussion about the mathematical Model of bipolar pulse signal and Cybernetics Model of circuit are with application to design the post-circuit, furthermore, the analysis of the signal’s spectrum and impulse response of circuit system are used for the optimization of the bandwidth. With the comparison of the simulation results in different bandwidth, the evidences to the system design are present in the paper. A dynamical testing experiment prepared for the verification of accuracy shows the output of Double-Shielded Capacitive Pulse Sensor featured with appropriate bandwidth and rapid response.

  • Design of Double-Shielded Capacitive Pulse Sensor with High Tip-Timing Precision
Chinese Journal of Sensors and Actuators, 2007
    Co-Authors: Li Shuai
    Abstract:

Based on vibration measuring principle of blade tip-timing, double-shielded capacitive pulse sensor is designed to measure blade tip-timing. Combined with the pre-processed circuit, Cybernetics Model of the sensor is setup and calculation of the circuit system bandwidth is optimized. As theoretical calculation and simulation shows, the sensor is featured with large bandwidth and rapid response. Also, according to the experimental results, signals from the sensor that can be used as high precision blade tip-timing sensor have high SNR and strong anti-interference capability.

  • Analysis on Control Strategy for a Kind of Uncertain Complexity System
    Journal of Chongqing University, 2003
    Co-Authors: Li Tai
    Abstract:

In practical industrial fields, it is very difficult to control uncertain complexity object effectively, because there are various uncertainties from internal dynamic characteristic and external, surroundings disturbance for controlled object. Its complexity is not only shown in structure, but also in information relation, so it is uneasy to implement it on technology. Aimed at selecting puzzle of control strategy for uncertain complexity system control, the authors describe Cybernetics Model based on analysis on some kinds of control strategy and contrastive research, and the Model is applied in physical engineering system successfully. Finally, the authors point out that intelligent control strategy should be selected for uncertain complexity system control, and that Human Simulation Intelligent Control is a wise choice.

  • INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: A CONTEMPORARY TOOL TO COMBAT ELECTORAL FRAUD IN NIGERIA
International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Review, 2018
Co-Authors: Nse Etim Akpan, Sunday Onah Adagba
    Abstract:

The electoral process begins with an effective voters’ registration exercise which is one of the most complex and often contested part of the entire electoral process. In a country like Nigeria where there is no trustworthy population census and no reliable means of identification, the exercise becomes more complicated and lays the foundation for electoral fraud. This paper argues that information technology can serve as a good instrument for the management of the electoral process in a way that can curb malpractice. It observes that the drive towards technology has been facilitated by its largely apolitical nature and the general perception of its efficacy by electoral stakeholders. The paper adopts a qualitative research method with reliance on secondary sources of data and the Cybernetics Model of communications theory as a framework of analysis. It recommends the encouragement of scientific research for technological innovations, investment in technology, less reliance on foreign technology by Nigeria and concludes that the implementation of these recommendations will aid Nigeria in the conduct of free, fair and reliable elections.
