  • The Mediation of Data Heterogeneity in Web Services Composition
2010 International Conference on Internet Technology and Applications, 2010
Co-Authors: Song Guo, Xiongying Sun, Xinyang Henan
    Abstract:

The emergence of Web service and its architecture is to provide enterprise solutions by composing Web services to constitute processes in the domains of business and science.Heterogenity problems is one of the obstacle of interaction between Web services. This paper firstly analyses the existing several heterogeneous situtaions in services compositions, present the mediation-based approach for resolving these problems by the exsiting technologies and tools, such as SAWSDL,WSDL,OWL and Axis 2.Describe the related technologies used by the mediation approach, expatiate the processes of implementing transform of heterogeneous Data by the mediation. The mediation can sealessly integrate with the existing infromation integration system or Web services composition framework, and effectively improve the quality of Web services composition.

  • A decentralized mediation-as-a-service architecture for service composition
    2013
Co-Authors: Michael Mrissa, Mohamed Sellami, Pierre De Vettor, Djamal Benslimane, Bruno Defude
    Abstract:

Service composition is a major advance service-oriented computing brings to enable the development of distributed applications. However, the distributed nature of services hampers their composition with Data Heterogeneity problems. In this paper, we address these problems with a decentralized Mediation-as-a-Service architecture that solves Data inconsistencies occurring during the composition of business services. As a particular Data Heterogeneity, we focus on the Data interpretation problem and introduce conflictual aspect mediation services and conflictual aspect ontologies to solve Data interpretation inconsistencies. We demonstrate how our architecture enables decentralized publication and discovery of mediation services. We motivate our work with a concrete scenario and validate our proposal with experiments.

  • WETICE - A Decentralized Mediation-as-a-Service Architecture for Service Composition

  • Context and Semantic Composition of Web Services
    2006
Co-Authors: Michael Mrissa, Djamal Benslimane, Chirine Ghedira, Zakaria Maamar
    Abstract:

Composition of Web services is a cornerstone step in the development of interoperable systems. However, Web services still face Data-Heterogeneity challenges, although several attempts of using semantics. In addition, the context in which Web services evolve is still somehow "ignored", hampering their adaptability to changes in composition situations. In this paper, we argue how context permits to determine the semantics of interfaces that Web services expose to third parties. We show the need for a context- and semantic-based approach for Web services composition.

  • Towards Context-based Mediation for Semantic Web Services Composition
    2006
Co-Authors: Michael Mrissa, Djamal Benslimane, Chirine Ghedira, Zakaria Maamar
    Abstract:

Web services composition is a keystone towards the development of interoperable systems. However, desp ite several efforts for explicit semantic description, Web services still face Data-Heterogeneity chal lenges. Correct interpretation of Data exchanged between composed Web services is hampered by differen t implicit modeling assumptions and representations. In this paper, we demonstrate the importance of c ontext to facilitate Data exchange, and describe a context representation model for Web services. Then , we present a context-based mediation architecture that helps performing meaningful composition.

  • On-demand Data Integration On the Cloud
    2011
Co-Authors: Mahmoud Barhamgi, Parisa Ghodous, Djamal Benslimane
    Abstract:

On-demand Data integration is among the key challenges in Cloud Computing. In this paper, we present an ontology-based framework for describing and integrating Data on the fly to answer transient business needs. We provide a semantic modeling for cloud’s Data services. The proposed modeling makes it possible to automatically resolve the different types of Data Heterogeneity that would arise when Data from heterogeneous and autonomous providers need to be combined together to answer the business’s Data needs. We validate our approach with a prototype. The main contribution of this paper is an efficient on-demand integration system for the clouds.
