  • a pwm plus phase shift control bidirectional Dc Dc Converter
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2004
    Co-Authors: Chuanhong Zhao, Haifeng Fan
    Abstract:

A pulse-width modulation (PWM) plus phase-shift control bidirectional Dc-Dc Converter is proposed. In this Converter, PWM control and phase-shift control are combined to reduce current stress and conduction losses, and to expand ZVS range. The operation principle and analysis of the Converter are explained, and ZVS condition is derived. A prototype of PWM plus phase-shift bidirectional Dc-Dc Converter is built to verify the analysis.

    Computer Simulation, 2005
    Co-Authors: Wang Jian-ming, Xu Zhen-lin
    Abstract:

To control chaos in PWM Dc/Dc Converter OGY technology is applied in this paper.Firstly, the discrete mode of Dc/Dc Converter is produced based on sample-data method. And the bifurcation chart can be made by iterating the discrete mode using a computer.Nonlinear phenomena, such as bifurcation and chaos, can been seen in the bifurcation chart. And then the principle how to control a chaotic Dc/Dc Converter to periodic condition is illustrated, and the computer simulation shows the validity of chaos control scheme based on OGY technology.

  • Controlling Chaos in PWM Dc/Dc Converter with Washout Filter
    Information & Computation, 2005
    Co-Authors: Wang Jian-ming
    Abstract:

In this paper, Washout filter control technology is utilized to control chaos in pulse-width modulation (PWM) Dc/Dc Converter. Fir stly the disadvantages of Ott-Grebogi-Yorke (OGY) method which applied to chao s control in Dc/Dc Converter system are discussed, and then the principle of cha os control scheme with Washout filter is shown by applying the mehod to a chaoti c Henon system. In the paper, Washout filter is applied to two kinds of PWM Dc/ Dc Converters, which have different control schemes, and translations from chaos to period in both of the Converter systems are made. Theoretical analysis and c omputer simulation show that Washout filter method can work well and overcome th e disadvantages of OGY method during controlling chaos in PWM Dc/Dc Converters.

  • auxiliary switch control of a bidirectional soft switching Dc Dc Converter
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2013
Co-Authors: Junghyo Lee, Doo-yong Jung, Yong-chae Jung, Jungu Kim, Young Ho Kim, Soocheol Shin, Chungyuen Won
    Abstract:

In this paper, the auxiliary switch control using a lookup table is proposed to enhance the efficiency of the bidirectional Dc/Dc Converter used in electric vehicle, which performs soft switching. Continuous current data are difficult to obtain during a resonant operation due to the limit of DSP ADc capacity. The proposed auxiliary switch control has a lookup table reference of the auxiliary switch turn-on time. The control method properly controls the auxiliary switch turn-on time according to the required load current; this auxiliary switch control brings the more efficient control in generative and regenerative mode operation. The proposed approach has been validated by the results of experiments on a bidirectional Dc/Dc Converter, inverter, and interior permanent magnet synchronous motor.

  • soft switching bidirectional Dc Dc Converter with a lc series resonant circuit
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2013
Co-Authors: Doo-yong Jung, Sunhee Hwang, Younghyok Ji, Yong-chae Jung
    Abstract:

In this paper, a soft-switching bidirectional Dc/Dc Converter with a LC series resonant circuit is proposed. The proposed Converter has been obtained by adding LC series resonant tank in the conventional bidirectional Dc/Dc Converter. The proposed topology performs soft switching at both buck and boost operations. Through the theoretical boost and buck mode analysis, zero voltage switching operation is explained. Moreover, characteristics of the proposed topology are verified with simulation and experimental results.

  • A Novel Control Scheme of Dc/Dc Converter Based on Chaos
    Journal of Tianjin University, 2003
    Co-Authors: Xu Zhen-lin
    Abstract:

In recent years, great research effort h as been made for the chaotic phenomena in Dc/Dc Converter, and people find that electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of Dc/Dc Converter can be improved when it w orks chaoticly. In this paper the principle why a Dc/Dc Converter in chaotic reg ion can improve its EMC is illuminated , and the disadvantages of this method ar e pointed out. In order to avoid the disadvantages above, a novel control scheme is submitted. Computer simulation results show that the novel scheme can spread the spectrum of inductance current and reduce the peaks at the switching freque ncy and its multiples. So the EMC of Dc/Dc Converter is improved.
