  • oil gas layer Deliverability Test by new formation sampling Tester
    Well Logging Technology, 2005
    Co-Authors: Guo Liaoyuan
    Abstract:

Wholereservior sampling Tester and multi l ayer sampling Tester for producing wells are new large automatic and digitalized formation Test apparatuses used for exploration and producing wells. The two ap paratuses have the following characteristics: First, they are able to isolate la yers selectively. By isolating layers selectively, the apparatuses can preTest f ormation and obtain integrated pressure transient curves, thus, estimating dynam ic parameters of each layer, such as formation pressure, effective permeability and damage factor, etc. Second, after being setted, the apparatuses can also com plete Deliverability Test, measure every flow rate and its corresponding steady flow pressure. At the same time, the apparatuses can obtain true formation fluid samples, this is essential for both exploration well and producing well. This m akes us know fluid phase, fluid component and flow rate of each layer at differe nt flow pressure in realtime, and complete quantitative output Test. Third, co mpared with common well Test, the apparatuses use very short logging time and ar e easy to operate, so can save lots of gas and oil resources and quicken explora tion. All these characteristics make the apparatuses appropriate to use in fine formation description. This paper presents the theory and method of using this k ind of apparatus to complete gaslayer and oillayer Deliverability Test under downhole condition.

  • oil layer or gas layer Deliverability Test achieved by new style formation sampling Tester
Journal of Chongqing University of Science, 2005
    Co-Authors: Guo Liaoyuan
    Abstract:

“Whole-reservior sampling Tester" and “Multi-layer sampling Tester for producing wells" are large-sized and new-style formation Test apparatuses used for exploration wells and producing wells, which are automatic and digital. Their characteristic is that they can isolate layers selectively. If a well is measured by the tools mentioned above, then all formation fluid parameters and all dynamic characteristics of the whole reservoir can be obtained. During Deliverability Test, flow rate changes from small to big and we can obtain a series of flow pressures, including pressures above saturation pressure and below it, moreover, various physical characters can be obtained by experiments. Thus we can obtain oil-gas-water IPR and each their equations of each layer. By adding oil-gas-water yields of each layer, we can obtain total oil-gas-water yields of a well. Parameters such as Bo,GOR,Z,μo,μg,μw and so on, can be obtained by PVT experiments, using these parameters we can obtain oil-gas-water yields of floor condition. This paper presents examples of Deliverability Test and computation.

  • The Deliverability evaluation of abnormal high pressure gas reservoir with stress sensitivity model
Journal of Computer Applications in Technology, 2020
Co-Authors: Yu Yang, Xiaodong Peng, Xindong Lv, Luyi Tong
    Abstract:

The presence of stress sensitivity in abnormal high pressure gas reservoir will reduce the Deliverability of gas wells. The permeability stress sensitivity must be taken into account in the calculation of gas well Deliverability. Herein the Deliverability Test data of a gas well is taken as an example, and its Deliverability is calculated by the adoption of pressure-squared, pseudo-pressure and enhanced pseudo-pressure type equation, which take into consideration the stress sensitivity. It is shown from the results that permeability stress sensitivity should be considered when constructing the productivity equation, and the pressure-squared methods can be approximately applied to calculate Deliverability. On the basis of the study of the effect of permeability stress sensitivity on gas well Deliverability, it was found that the stronger the stress sensitivity is, the lower its Deliverability becomes.

  • The Productivity Analysis in Tight Gas Reservoir by Using wire-line Logging and trial production Data
    Procedia Engineering, 2012
    Co-Authors: Wenming Wu, Yu Yang
    Abstract:

Abstract The limitation of long-time required to conduct Deliverability Test, which results in fewer Testing, has brought ink-bottle effect on the productivity evaluation in tight gas reservoir. By means of transient seepage equation and optimum algorithm, trial production data is utilized to compute the accurate reservoir parameters, such as permeability etc, which can be substituted in pseudosteady-state flow equation to compute the open flow potential. Strict theory derivation and the result of this method from actual example on-site shows the credibility of this method, which can be reference for other low permeability gas reservoir.

  • a single point Deliverability formula for gas well in low permeability gas reservoir
    Xinjiang Petroleum Geology, 2010
    Co-Authors: Y U Zhibo
    Abstract:

In Deliverability evaluation of a gas well, the single point Deliverability Test is widely applied to gas field with simple and easy operation as well as short Test time. However, the calculation results tend to be in large deviation when it is applied to low-permeability gas reservoir.Starting from the theory which derives the single point Deliverability formula and the low-permeability gas reservoir characteristics, and based on the trinomial Deliverability equation considering the threshold pressure gradient,a single point Deliverability formula for gas well in low-permeability gas reservoir has been deduced, and a method for calculating Deliverability factors by a single point Test data has been established. It is shown that compared with conventional single point formula, the number of the empirical parameter in the single point formula for low-permeability gas well has become two from one,and empirical parameters α,δ are also related with threshold pressure gradient. The case study indicates that this method presented in this paper is feasible.
