Dari proses optimasi didapatkan ukuran utama Derrick barege adalah L = 133.52m, B = 30.48m, H = 7.6m, T = 4.45m =============================================================================================== Indonesia is one of crude oil producer in the world, as shown of it used to be the member of Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) before resigning in 2008 due to it couldn't fulfill the minimal quota requirement. But there are still many companies which operate in oil exploration and exploitation sectors in Indonesia, both foreign companies and local companies that own onshore and offshore oil field. In 2012, out of 15 companies that operated in Indonesia, produced 90.929.053 barrels. All exploration and exploitation processes will cause environmental effects directly or indirectly, such as preconstruction stage, construction and drilling stage, production operation, after operation until decommissioning. For doing decommissioning process, it need many supported vehicles which one is Derrick Barge, a Barge that equipped with a crane that used for supporting the offshore activities especially during construction stage. There are so many kind of Derrick Barges that have already operated, identified by crane's size. Derrick Barge have to big enough to handle the lifting force that is needed by the crane and to keep it stable, also can provide the accommodation area for hundreds crews on board, crane and offshore structure. Then by using the optimation design approach method, Derrick Barge is designed by several restrictions to find the minimum value of ship building. By the optimation process, obtained the main dimension of Derrick Barge are L = 133.52m, B = 30.48m, H = 7.6m, T = 4.45m

Study on Optimizing Ballast Tanks for Revolving Derrick Barge
2010Co-Authors: He Yan-pingAbstract:The limitation of optimization principles which are applied in the numerical analysis method has been further discussed.By comparing with the data of fixed lifting 7500 tons of cargo under two loading conditions, several problems existing in the original program and optimized program have been found.By establishing mathematical model and utilizing related software, some principles about ballast tank subdivision are summarized. They are applied and analyzed in several typical working conditions about rotary lifting and then a few rules are summed up.Finally,it is concluded how to optimize the design of ballast tanks for a large floating crane.

simulation of operation stability of revolving Derrick Barge
Ship & Ocean Engineering, 2007Co-Authors: Xia YimeiAbstract:The ship hull and the revolving crane were modeled respectively,in order to calculate and display the real time floating condition and stability of the crane ship in the process of revolving under certain loading and working radius. So the best load plan can be quickly find.Real time surveillance of the changes of ship floating condition and stability and the assurance of working safety during its work is of great engineering application value.

Dynamically Positioned Derrick Barge and PositionMeasuring Equipment for Lena Guyed Tower Installation
Offshore Technology Conference, 2013Co-Authors: L.d. Ziems, E.b. Stidston, M.l. NeudorferAbstract:A dynamic positioning (DP) system was installed on Brown and Root's Derrick Barge Atlas I and successfully used during the Lena guyed tower guying system installation. Modular design and onshore testing of the components resulted in rapid DP system installation and commissioning. Only minor DP equipment problems were experienced throughout the guying system installation. A long-baseline acoustic positioning system was used to measure the positions of the anchor piles, clump weights, and jacket during the Lena installation. The system provided relative position measurement accuracies on the order of + or - 5 feet in 1000 feet of water.
