We study the 3d gauge theory/quantum K-theory correspondence for global and local Calabi-Yau manifolds with several K¨ahler moduli. We propose a multi-cover formula that relates the 3d BPS world- volume degeneracies computed by quantum K-theory to Gopakumar-Vafa invariants.

On the general action of boundary (super)string field theory
Journal of High Energy Physics, 2008Co-Authors: Akira Ishida, Shunsuke TeraguchiAbstract:We reconstruct boundary superstring field theory via boundary states. After a minor modification of the fermionic two-form, all the equations needed for Batalin-Vilkovisky formulation are simply represented by closed string oscillators and the proof of gauge invariance is drastically simplified. The general form of the action of boundary superstring field theory is also obtained without any assumption and found to take exactly the same form as the bosonic one. As a special case of this action, we revisit the conjecture that the action is simply given by the Disk Partition function when matter and ghosts are completely decoupled.

boundary cft construction of d branes in vacuum string field theory
Journal of High Energy Physics, 2001Co-Authors: Leonardo Rastelli, Barton ZwiebachAbstract:In previous papers we built (multiple) D-branes in flat space-time as classical solutions of the string field theory based on the tachyon vacuum. In this paper we construct classical solutions describing all D-branes in any fixed space-time background defined by a two dimensional CFT of central charge 26. A key role is played by the geometrical definition of the sliver state in general boundary CFT's. The correct values for ratios of D-brane tensions arise because the norm of the sliver solution is naturally related to the Disk Partition function of the appropriate boundary CFT. We also explore the possibility of reproducing the known spectrum of physical states on a D-brane as deformations of the sliver.
