what if there were desktop access to the Computer science literature
Conference on Scientific Computing, 1993Co-Authors: Dennis J Brueni, Baziley T Cross, Lenwood S. Heath, Lucy T Nowell, William C. WakeAbstract:What if there were an Electronic Computer science library? Consider the possibilities of having your favorite publications available within finger's reach. Consider Project Envision, an ongoing effort to build a user-centered database from the Computer science literature. This paper describes the project's first year progress, stressing the underlying motivation, user-centered development, and the overall design.

The Manhattan Project, the first Electronic Computer and the Monte Carlo method
Monte Carlo Methods and Applications, 2016Co-Authors: Dobriyan M. BenovAbstract:The background of the Monte Carlo method is connected with two very important events in the modern human history: the World War Two and the building of first Electronic Computers. For that reason, we will try to synthesize the most important facts of those events that have relation to the development of the method in order to produce a clearer picture of the origination of the Monte Carlo method of stochastic sampling. The research covers the period from 1930 to 1959.

safety analysis and design for the switch control unit of all Electronic Computer interlocking system
Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2012Co-Authors: Tao HeAbstract:The switch control unit module is a critical core control module of the all-Electronic Computer interlocking system. Switch in the wrong place as the top event, use the Relex software for quantitative analysis of the importance of analysis method and found a key part of the module designs. The weak link in the system design through the use of the ‘2-Vote-2’ modular architecture analysis showed that the system has reached the security requirements of the railway signaling system.
