To solve the problem, the author provides a new method for ISP outer-chip Flash of DSP using Ethernet Interface with a kind of special UDP broadcast packages. The TCP/IP stack is not required in this design. Practice shows that this ISP method with less resource occupying and very high programming speed, is a good solution to system debug and update.

The design and implementation of a general Ethernet Interface for embedded system
Journal of Shandong University, 2020Co-Authors: Fu ChongAbstract:In this paper, a design and implementation scheme of a general embedded system Ethernet Interface is proposed based on AT90S8515 single chip that uses RISC technology and RTL-8139 network Interface controller hardware platform. The design aims at the characteristics that the embedded system only has limited resources. The logic structure, operation principle, DMA controller data sending / receiving principles of RTL-8139 NIC and Ether frame encapsulation course have been explained in detail. The register programming process of NIC initializing, data frame receiving and dispatching, operation of local/remote DMA controller have been deeply discussed, providing a completed implementation scheme of sending/receiving an Ethernet frame.

In this paper a new Ethernet Interface solution based on TCP/IP protocol is realized by using TMS320LF2407A and RTL8019AS, in which the problem of data acquisition and its immediate network transmission is effectively solved. The results of experiments demonstrate that the performance of this Ethernet Interface hardware is stable and the solution is compliant with TCP/IP protocol. In the paper, the whole schematic block and its hardware are explained; meanwhile, its software structure and its work procedures are introduced and analyzed

The functions of data acquisition, reliability and data transmission rate of network module have been validated.The test shows that the performances of the system can meet the requirement for practical application.
