Cationic Pd(II)-catalyzed arylative cyclization of 1,6-enynes with arylboronic acids
Tetrahedron Letters, 2017Co-Authors: Kun Shen, Xiyan Lu, Zhiyong HuAbstract:A cationic Pd(II)-catalyzed redox neutral arylative cyclization of enynes by using β-acetoxy elimination as the quenching step has been developed. The reaction offers an efficient method to access a variety of carbocycles and N-heterocycles bearing an Exocyclic Double Bond.

cationic pd ii catalyzed reductive cyclization of alkyne tethered ketones or aldehydes using ethanol as hydrogen source
Organic Letters, 2013Co-Authors: Kun Shen, Xiyan LuAbstract:A cationic Pd(II)-catalyzed reductive cyclization of alkyne-tethered ketones or aldehydes using ethanol as hydrogen source under mild conditions was developed. The reaction is an environmentally benign synthetic method and proceeds efficiently to give useful N-heterocycles or carbocycles bearing an Exocyclic Double Bond and a hydroxyl group in high yield.

highly enantioselective hydrogenation of Exocyclic Double Bond of n tosyloxazolidinones catalyzed by a neutral rhodium complex and its synthetic applications
Tetrahedron, 2006Co-Authors: Zengming Shen, Xiyan LuAbstract:Abstract A highly enantioselective synthesis of optically active N-tosyl-4-alkyl-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones based on the asymmetric hydrogenation of the trisubstituted Exocyclic Double Bond of N-tosyl-4-alkylidene-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones under the catalysis of neutral [Rh(COD)Cl]2 (COD=1,5-cyclooctadiene) and (S)-(+)-DTBM-SEGPHOS was developed. The utility of this highly enantioselective reaction was exemplified by the synthesis of optically active amino acids, amino alcohols, and piperidine derivatives.

selective reduction of the Exocyclic Double Bond of isoxazolones and pyrazolones by hantzsch 1 4 dihydropyridine
Synlett, 2005Co-Authors: Wei Zhang, Li Yang, Wei YuAbstract:Hantzsch 1,4-dihydropyridine (HEH) was used to realize the selective reduction of the Exocyclic Double Bond of 4-arylmethylene- and 4-alkylidene-4H-isoxazol-5-ones and 4-arylmethylene-4H-pyrazol-5-ones.

face selective reduction of the Exocyclic Double Bond in isatin derived spirocyclic lactones
Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry, 2013Co-Authors: Sandeep Rana, Amarnath NatarajanAbstract:We report an unusual face selective reduction of the Exocyclic Double Bond in the α-methylene-γ-butyrolactone motif of spiro-oxindole systems. The spiro-oxindoles were assembled by an indium metal mediated Barbier-type reaction followed by an acid catalyzed lactonization.

Low dipole moment large β electrooptic chromophores based on Exocyclic Double Bond conjugated bridge
Chinese Science Bulletin, 2001Co-Authors: Peng Wang, Shaojun Li, Cheng YeAbstract:Novel low dipole moment (μ) and large first hyperpolarizability (β) electrooptic chromophores have been designed based on the special characteristic of reversed dipole moment in the excited state of Exocyclic Double Bond (ECDB) conjugated bridge by the optimization of the substituted method, and their electronic and second-order nonlinear optical properties have been theoretically investigated by employing the AM1/FF and ZINDO/S-CI approaches. By extending the conjugation length and optimizing the donor/acceptor strength, the oscillator strength of the excited transition that contributes to the molecular nonlinearity can be further enhanced. The designed chromophores possess a larger figure of merit (FOM) than that of 4-N,N-dimethylamino-4′-nitrostilbene (DANS), and lower (
