  • EEG characteristics in women during normal and complicated pregnancy
The International journal of prenatal and perinatal psychology and medicine, 2002
Co-Authors: Valentina V. Vasiljeva, Vladimir I. Orlov, Alexandr V. Chemositov, Karina U. Sagamonova
    Abstract:

Clinical and spectral EEG analysis of 230 women on different gestational periods was carried out. The presence of morpho-functional asymmstries was found in the periferal (placental localization) and central (gestational dominant) links of functional system mother-placenta-Fetus. It has been shown, that functional interhemispherical asymmetry of the brain is the sensible parameter of normal and complicated gestation. It was found that the prevailing activation is characteristic for normal pregnancy in central and temple areas of the brain contrlateral to the side of placental localization in uterus. The development of threat of Fetus Wastage accompanied by the inversion of interhemispheric asymmetry of EEG activation.

  • INDICES OF HEMODYNAMICS IN FETAL MEDIAL CEREBRAL ARTERY – MARKER OF THE OPTIMAL TIME OF DELIVERY
    Ultraschall in Der Medizin, 2005
    Co-Authors: A. V. Orlov, T. A. Zamanskaya
    Abstract:

Purpose: To study the dynamics of indices in fetal arteria cerebri media (ACM) during the physiological and complicated course of pregnancy. Methods and Materials: In 517 pregnant women the dynamic dopplermetric investigation of indices in fetal ACM was carried out at 15–16, 20–22, 28–30, 34–36 gestational weeks and weekly after 36 weeks of gestation (Toschiba SSD-340 Ecoccee). All the women were informed and agreed to participate in the investigation. Retrospectively, on the basis of the course of pregnancy and the state of an infant, the course of pregnancy is declared physical in 152 women (29.4%) and complicated (threat of Fetus Wastage, preterm delivery, gestosis) in 265 women (70.6%). Results: During the physiological course of pregnancy the progressive increase of vascular resistance in fetal ACM was marked from 15 _ 16 gestational weeks (S/D=3.5) to 30–31 gestational weeks (S/D=6.0, p
