2016Co-Authors: Nadia Lanny Tengor, Victorina Z TirayohAbstract:The purpose of this study to test the effect of management accounting system significantly and positively to cost control product quality at CV. Means Marine Fiberglass Manado. This research is quantitative research sites in the CV. Means Marine Fiberglass Manado. Population and sample were all employees at PT Sarana Marine Fiberglass Manado. Analysis of the data in the form of validity and reliability, the classic assumption test, the coefficient of determination, a simple linear regression. Hypothesis test results, especially the F test found that the accounting management system can be used to test the effect of accounting management system to control product quality in CV costs. Means Marine Fiberglass Manado. Hypothesis test results found that partial accounting management system and significant positive effect on cost control in the company's product quality CV. Means Marine Fiberglass Manado. Suggestions that is because the accounting system of management is important and influential on cost control product quality, the management of CV. Means Marine Feberglass Manado need to improve the implementation and management in the company's accounting system such as by improving the accounting records related to the production process of the company in particular. This can be done by noting in detail the production is done from preparation to the end and apply a zero defect production. This can be achieved if the planning of the production process implemented in a comprehensive, integrated, and attention to detail of production.

quasi static and dynamic tensile properties of Fiberglass epoxy laminate sheet
Construction and Building Materials, 2017Co-Authors: Wensu Chen, Qingfei Meng, Hong Hao, Jian Cui, Yanchao ShiAbstract:Abstract Fiberglass/epoxy laminate or structures strengthened by Fiberglass/epoxy laminate might be subjected to dynamic loadings such as impact and blast. Understanding the dynamic material properties of the Fiberglass/epoxy laminate is important to predict the behavior of Fiberglass/epoxy laminate or its strengthened structure against dynamic loading. In this study, unidirectional quasi-static and dynamic tensile tests on Fiberglass/epoxy laminate were carried out to investigate its dynamic material properties. The strain rate for quasi-static and low velocity test varied from 2.08E-05 to 1.04E-01 s −1 . The high speed dynamic tests were conducted by INSTRON® VHS 160/100-20 machine at the strain rate from 2.75 to 115 s −1 . The strain rate effects on the tensile strength, failure strain and Young’s Modulus of Fiberglass/epoxy laminate were investigated. Based on the testing data, empirical formulae were derived to predict the dynamic enhancement of tensile material properties of Fiberglass/epoxy laminate as a function of strain rates, which can be used to model the dynamic material properties in the numerical simulation of structural responses.

Commonly used adjuvants (liquid soap, foam sanitizer, or ultrasound gel) do not improve strength or curing time of Fiberglass cast material
Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, 2019Co-Authors: Matthew R. I. Meng, Joseph W. Elphingstone, Bruce M. Byrd, Margaret A Sinkler, Meghan E. Mcgee-lawrenceAbstract:Background Bone fractures are one of the most common injuries in the USA. Fiberglass tape is a commonly used casting material, and many medical professionals apply adjuvants including liquid hand soap, foam sanitizers, and ultrasound gel in the hopes of improving outcomes relating to ease of molding and eventual strength, lamination, and smoothness of cast material. However, the efficacy of these agents to improve Fiberglass cast mechanics has not been scientifically evaluated. The purpose of this study was to assess the mechanical effects of commonly used adjuvants on Fiberglass cast materials. Methods Studies compared regularly shaped samples of water-activated, untreated Fiberglass tape (Ossur Techform Premium) to water-activated Fiberglass tape treated with one of three commonly used adjuvants (liquid soap, foam hand sanitizer, or ultrasound gel) during lamination. Material stiffness, yield stress, and ultimate load were measured by 3-point bending. Results These studies demonstrated that that liquid soap and ultrasound gel did not affect Fiberglass tape mechanical properties, but alcohol-based foam sanitizer significantly reduced stiffness (− 32.8%), yield stress (− 33.6%), and ultimate load (− 31.0%) of the cast material as compared to the control group. Regression slopes were not significantly different between groups, suggesting that no adjuvants improved material curing time. Conclusions These data suggest that the application of adjuvants is not beneficial and potentially harmful to Fiberglass cast behavior. Despite the widespread practice of adjuvant application by medical professionals during casting, results from the current study suggest that use of these agents for structural enhancement of Fiberglass casts is not beneficial and should largely be discouraged.

Paper deinking sludge fiberboard reinforced by Fiberglass fabric
Journal of Shenzhen University Science and Engineering, 2012Co-Authors: Jiang Ze-huiAbstract:Sludge resource utilization was studied. The influence of coupling agent on mechanical performance of paper deinking sludge fiberboard was investigated. The results show that The performances increase with the increase of the coupling agent but are not significant when the increase is more than 1.0%.The coupling agent can improve Fiberglass surface polarity by FT-IR and create covalent bond between Fiberglass and PF.The coupling agent can improve the coarseness of the Fiberglass surface because Fiberglass surface can be wetted by PF,and it can also improve the wettability of Fiberglass surface. It is good for bonding.

Effect of Coulping Agent on Paper Sludge Fiberboard Reinforced by Fiberglass
Journal of Building Materials, 2011Co-Authors: Jiang Ze-huiAbstract:Paper sludge fiberboard reinforced by Fiberglass was studied. The influence of adding content of coupling agent and length of Fiberglass on mechanical performance paper sludge fiberboard was investigated. Mechanism of reinforcement for Fiberglass reinforced paper sludge fiberboard was studied. The results show that the performances are improved by the coupling agent and increase of length of Fiberglass. The performances meet the national standard when coupling agent exceeds 0.5%(by mass) and the length of Fiberglass exceeds 4 cm.FT-IR study shows that Fiberglass surface polarity is enhanced by adding coupling agent as covalent bond between Fiberglass and PF is formed. The coupling agent can improve coarseness of Fiberglass surface because Fiberglass surface can be wetted by PF,and thus the wettability of Fiberglass surface is improved. It is favorable for bonding.
