  • Study on Th1/Th2 Cytokine Balance in Patients with Chronic Fulminate Hepatitis B
    Chinese General Practice, 2006
    Co-Authors: Meng Chao
    Abstract:

Objective To explore the function of Th1/Th2 cytokine balance on the pathogenesis in chronic Fulminate hepatitis B patients. Methods 41 chronic Fulminate hepatitis B patients were enrolled into study and separated into survived group (31 cases) and death group (10 cases) according to their curative effects, and 20 healthy people and 30 chronic hepatitis B patients were taken as two control groups.Plasma IL-12,IL-10 and IFN-γ level were detected, the ratio of (IFN-γ+ IL-12)/IL-10 was counted in four groups, which could reflects the balance state of Th1/Th2 cytokine. Results Plasma IL-10 level were higher in two chronic Fulminate hepatitis B groups than that in two control groups (P0.01),whereas IL-12 and IFN-γ level was higher in death group than those in other three groups(P0.01),the ratio of (IFN-r+IL-12)/IL-10 was higher in death group and lower in survived group. Conclusion Plasma Th1/Th2 cytokine level is different in the different phase of chronic Fulminate hepatitis,IL-10 is secreted during the early phase, but IL-12 and IFN-γ are highly increased during the advanced phase of chronic Fulminate hepatitis B patients.

  • taming the dragon complexation of silver Fulminate with nitrogen rich azole ligands
    Inorganic Chemistry, 2020
Co-Authors: Maximilian H H Wurzenberger, Michael S Gruhne, Marcus Lommel, Vanessa Braun, Norbert Szimhardt, Jorg Stierstorfer
    Abstract:

The almost ancient and very sensitive silver Fulminate (SF), which was involved in the establishment of fundamental chemical concepts, was desensitized for the first time with different nitrogen-rich triazoles and tetrazoles, yielding SF complexes [Agx(CNO)x(N-Ligand)y] (x = 1-4; y = 1-3). These were accurately characterized (X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, IR, elemental analysis, differential thermal analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis) and investigated concerning their energetic character. The highly energetic coordination compounds suddenly show, in contrast to SF, sensitivities in a manageable range and are therefore safer to handle. In particular, compounds [Ag4(CNO)4(BTRI)] [3; BTRI = 4,4'-bis(1,2,4-triazole)] and [Ag4(CNO)4(2,2-dtp)] [8; 2,2-dtp = 1,3-di(tetrazol-1-yl)propane] show values in the range of desired lead styphnate alternatives with similar energetic performances. The crystal structure experiments reveal silver cluster formation in all complexes with distinct argentophilic interactions close to 2.77 A. Furthermore, it was possible to synthesize 8 in a one-pot reaction, avoiding the isolation of highly sensitive SF.

  • Formation of Cyanate (OCN) and Fulminate (ONC) Radicals from Anionic Precursors in the Gas Phase. A Joint Experimental and Theoretical Study
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2002
Co-Authors: Suresh Dua, John H. Bowie
    Abstract:

The cyanate anion (OCN)- may be formed in the ion source of a reverse sector VG ZAB 2HF mass spectrometer by dissociative electron capture of phenyl cyanate (PhOCN). The isomeric Fulminate anion (ONC)- is formed by (i) deprotonation of nitromethane (with HO-) followed by elimination of H2O (-CH2NO2 → [(CHN(O)(OH)]- → (ONC)- + H2O) and (ii) the reaction between CH2NOCH3 and O•- [CH2NOCH3 + O•- → (ONC)- + H2O + CH3•]. Neutralization of the cyanate and Fulminate anions by Franck−Condon vertical one-electron oxidation (in the first of two tandem collision cells of the mass spectrometer) yields the cyanate (OCN) and Fulminate (ONC) radicals, both of which are stable for at least 1 μs. Ionization of these neutrals by one-electron oxidation in a second collision cell produces the cyanate and Fulminate cations. A proportion of each of these cations undergoes isomerization. Theoretical and experimental studies show that (i) these rearrangements involve the less stable singlet forms of the cations, (ii) the cationi...

  • car parrinello molecular dynamics study of the thermal decomposition of sodium Fulminate
    Chemistry: A European Journal, 2010
    Co-Authors: Konstantina Damianos, Irmgard Frank
    Abstract:

Depending on the metal cation, metal Fulminates exhibit a characteristic sensitivity with respect to heat and mechanical stress. In the present paper we study the high-temperature reactions of bulk sodium Fulminate using Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics simulations. We find that the initiating reaction is the formation of the Fulminate dimer, while in earlier studies an electron transfer was assumed to be the first reaction step. The initial carbon--carbon bond formation is followed by fast consecutive reactions leading to polymerisation. The resulting species remain charged on the timescale of the simulations.
