You could have no school fees, free school pictures or don't pay for your book fair books!! > > /----- ;------------------x Points of Interest * Christmas Classic * Grocery Specials * Home Hardware \________ J This is how the program works: Come to the elementary office or call one of the contact people to purchase your Magrath Trading Company and/or Scenic Square IGA vouchers. You pay face value for all your vouchers and they are as good as cash. No restrictions, use it on sale items or even on 10% Tuesday. The Trading Company vouchers can even be used in the hardware. . The Trading Company and IGA will pay the school 10% for all the vouchers it sells. The first $50.00 of profit (or the first $500.00 of Vouchers) per family goes to the School Council to help with running our school. Such things as the the cubbies, assemblies, sound shells, play grounds and many other things are done with this money. The remaining vouchers that are purchased go into an account for the use of your family. You can use it to pay school fees, school pictures or even books. So if a family of four goes through $5,000.00 a year on grocery and hardware purchases. That means that you would have raised $500.00. $50.00 would go to school council and you would have $450.00 in an account that you can use for any of your childrens expenses over $20.00; such as school fees ecL The money you bank is non-transferable to another family and will go to school council when your children graduate or move. Wednesdays play for the Magrath teams started at 6:30 p.m. with the Pandas defeating Taber W.R. Myers Rebels 64-37. Michelle Smith was the top scorer for the Pandas with 29 points - 19 of which were scored in the opening 20 minutes of the game. Kelsey Helgeson had 11 points and Debbie Balderson had 10. The Zenith’s opening game was at 8:15 p.m. with a victory over Brooks of 97-65 as Joe Schow had 33 points and Allen Tollestrup added 25. Thursday the Pandas took on LCI with a thrilling 71-67 overtime victory. Debbie Balderson netted 22 points while Michelle Smith contributed 17 in the dramatic win taking them to the finals on Friday. The Zeniths cruised to an 80-57 semifinal victory over Airdrie’s Bert Church Chargers with Allen Tollestrup finishing the game with 28 points while Dylan Alston scored 18. Fridays championship games started with the Pandas at 7:15 p.m. taking on Okotoks Foothills Composite Falcons who are generally considered to be one of the best girls’ high school basketball teams in Alberta. The Pandas proved they can give a provincial power fits for 40 minutes but were unable to defeat the Falcons. The final score was 54-46 leaving the Pandas with a 2nd place finish in the tournament. Lauren Balderson had 12 points for the Pandas. Michelle Smith was next with 11. The Zeniths on the other hand were able to take the crown as they defeated Edmonton Jasper Place Rebels in the final game 72-56. Smooth-shooting six-foot-four Grade 11 Alberta juvenile team member Alien Tollestrup was on fire much of the night. The lefty finished with 31 points, including five first-half treys. Six-foot-eight Joe Schow had 14 points and Booker Alston finished with 11. Tournament awards: Offensive MVP for the girls went to Michelle Smith. On the boys side Offensive MVP went to Allen Tollestrup while teammate Joe Schow garnered the defensive MVP award. First team all-starts included Debbie Balderson and Kelsey Helgeson on the girls side with Danielle Wilde being named the individual sportsmanship recipient. Both teams came out victorious with the Eagles winning 75-41 as Dylan Alston scored 17 points and Brad Sorpold added 16. Layne Barnett also pleased the crowd with two three pointers. The Zeniths won with a score of 102-63. Jimmy Balderson scored 35 points with Matt Harris and Darren Bevers adding 18 apiece. Kevin Bullock made 17 points which included 5 three pointers. Pandas & Cubs Basketball On Wednesday the girls played the Medicine Hat Kwahommies. Medicine Hat came out on top with a score of 57-41 in Panda action. Kelsey Helgeson led the Pandas with 12 points and Cassy Foggin added 10. The Cubs also had a tough defeat with Medicine Hat winning 44-37. Debbie Balderson had 12 points. On Saturday afternoon the Pandas and Cubs hosted the Cardston Lady Cougars. The Cougars were able to defeat the Pandas with a score of70-64. Danielle Wilde scored 13 points for the Pandas while Debbie Balderson and Kelsey Helgeson added 11 and 10 respectively. In junior varsity play, the Cubs topped the Lady Cougars 51-36 as Debbie Balderson scored 13 points and Lauren Balderson added 12. Contestants attempted 5 different shots: Double take out; the Hit and Roll; the Raise; Freeze to the Button; and Draw to the Button. Each shot had a total of up to 5 points. No one accumulated 25 points to win the $10,000.00 Grand Prize. Fleece vests, donated by Investors Group, were awarded to the top four culers of the day. Eric Hohm won top honors, Maurice Bevers won second, Ron. Balderson placed third and Lynn Schultz took fourth place. There was a three way tie for fourth place and a winner was declared after Amy Bevers, Dartly Lee and Lynn Schultz had to draw closest to the button to determine the winner. Ken Leavitt donated a $ 100.00 bill for the curler who drew closest to the button during the Draw to the Button skill shot and it was won by Maurice Bevers. Pandas & Cubs Basketball Saturday afternoon the ' Pandas and Cubs hosted Kate Andrews Pride. Final score was 57-48 for the Pride. Cassy Foggin led the Pandas with 21 points. The Cubs also had a tough afternoon with a loss of52-45. Debbie Balderson scored 16 points for the Cubs. Magrath Hospital Auxiliary 2000-2001 Tree of Hope On behalf of the Magrath Hospital Auxiliaiy, I wish to thank all the kind people, clubs, businesses, and organizations of Magrath and areas for their generous monetary donations to our Tree of Hope Fund Raising Campaign held in the months of November and December 2000, and finishing in January 2001. Because of our great help, we have raised over $12,700.00 and with this money, we will be able to finish furnishing the Palliative Care Room, and purchase several Electric Beds for our Residents at our Extended Care Facility for their everyday comfort and enjoyment. A veiy special thank you goes out to the 37 volunteers, who so willingly donated their time in this the veiy busy season, who manned the table where the monies were collected, without your assistance, we would not have succeeded. To do this, it is necessary to estab- A lish some basic guidelines, which all users are expected to follow. * ? Remember it is private land and you do not have the right to enter v the area and do as you please. Please use respect. t 1. No hunting or trapping of any kind is permitted. All birds and A J' mammals are protected. The reasons for this rule should be obvious. * * 2. No fires or camping. Fires are not permitted because of the ext treme fire hazard and because it is essential that we protect the habi- \ ■ tat. Camping is not permitted because of the associated litter prob- ' lem. Part of the project involved the production of an excellent interpretive pamphlet titled: THE GALT CANAL NATURE TRAIL WHERE HISTORY and NATURE MEET, which will be available in the Town Office and Library. The upper trail is also now handicapped accessible. compliance with household solid waste management in rural villages in developing countries
Journal of Cleaner Production, 2018Co-Authors: Feng Wang, Zhihua Cheng, Ann Reisner, Ying LiuAbstract:Abstract Environmental deterioration in rural areas, among which household waste pollution is representative, is harming the overall eco-socio development of developing countries. Drawing on field data from a survey of 100 villages (679 valid sample households) from five provinces across China in 2012, this paper uses Probit regression to examine the factors that influence rural residents' solid waste Disposal behaviors. The results show that only 36% of the sampled villages offer Garbage collection and Disposal services, among which only 81% of rural residents dump Garbage in designated dumping sites. Distance between a residence to Garbage collection facilities and village layout are negatively significant with rural residents' household solid waste Disposal behavior while local economic level and household educational level are positively significant with rural residents' solid waste Disposal behaviors. The results suggest that the presence of any organized Garbage Disposal site strongly encourages proper Disposal behavior, most commonly at levels of compliance in the 80% and above range. The clear implication is that structural factors are the most important for ensuring proper solid waste Disposal and that multiple collection points should be encouraged in areas where the distance from a Disposal site is over 2 km. This paper provides practical implication for researchers and policy maker on solid waste management in developing countries.

A system for controlling drying operation of a Garbage Disposal equipment comprises: a selection means(10) that outputs a selection signal for proceeding a drying operation of the Garbage Disposal equipment; a fan(20) operated to exchange internal air of the Garbage Disposal equipment with external air of the Garbage Disposal equipment; a heater(30) for drying Garbage; a suction valve(40) for controlling an amount of external air flowing into the Garbage Disposal equipment; a control means(50) for operating the fan and the heater by the selection signal outputted from the selection means, and outputting a control signal for opening the suction valve with the passage of a first reference time; a fan driving circuit part(60) for controlling operation of the fan according to the control signal outputted from the control means; a heater driving circuit part(70) for controlling operation of the heater according to the control signal outputted from the control means; and a valve driving circuit part(80) for controlling operation of the suction valve according to the control signal outputted from the control means.

A system for controlling rapid and standard drying operations of a Garbage Disposal equipment comprises the steps of: allowing the Garbage Disposal equipment to be operated in a concerned drying mode by selecting a rapid or standard drying operation for drying Garbage; implementing the concerned drying mode again when a door of the Garbage Disposal equipment is opened in the state that the selected drying mode is operated; converting the concerned drying mode into a blowing mode with the passage of a reference time of the concerned drying mode when the door of the Garbage Disposal equipment is not opened; and implementing the concerned drying mode again when the door of the Garbage Disposal equipment is opened in the state that the blowing mode is operated.

multi agent based simulation for household solid waste recycling behavior
Resources Conservation and Recycling, 2018Co-Authors: Xiaoyan Meng, Zongguo Wen, Yi QianAbstract:Abstract The urban household solid waste (HSW) classification and recycling system is a complex adaptive system (CAS), containing multiple agents and the behaviors between them are interactive. In order to figure out which is the most effective waste management policy for the HSW classification and recycling, this study tried to establish a simulation model combining multi-agent based simulation (MABS) techniques with a social survey questionnaire. The model can simulate the behavior change of the agents in the system under different policy scenarios. Then the proposed model is utilized in Suzhou city in eastern China. The system contains three main agents: (1) the resident agents that generate the HSW, (2) the recycling site and scavenger agents that collect the recyclable materials (paper, metal, plastics and etc.) in the household Garbage, (3) the agents in the sanitation department (incineration power plants and landfills) that is responsible for the municipal solid waste collection and terminal Garbage Disposal. In addition, three waste charge policy scenarios are set and relevant simulation experiments are carried out. The results show that the specific charge policy can improve the performance of residents’ separation behavior, which is a more effective way to reduce the HSW and increase the collection rate of domestic recyclable resources (DRR). And there exists certain benefit conflicts between the environmental sanitation agent and the DRR recycling agent at the present stage in Suzhou city. To resolve the issue of the urban HSW management in China, it is necessary to balance the profit of charge point of agents in the system. In addition, it needs to combine the municipal Garbage collection network and the renewable resource recycling network together.

Analisis Teknis Dan Ekonomi Konversi Deck Cargo Barge 250 ft Menjadi Restobarge Untuk Daerah Perairan Gili Trawangan-Gili Meno, Lombok
2016Co-Authors: Akbar, Dimas YansetyoAbstract:Deck Cargo Barge atau tongkang banyak yang sudah tidak beroperasi dan diparkir dikarenakan sumber daya alam berupa batu bara mulai menipis. Pengalihan fungsi tongkang diperlukan guna melestarikan tongkang. Tugas Akhir ini bermaksud untuk melakukanan analisis secara teknis dan ekonomis mengenai konversi deck cargo barge menjadi restobarge (restoran). Pada pengerjaan analisis teknis, modifikasi dilakukan dengan melakukan pembuatan general arrangement restobarge yang berawal dari general arrangement restobarge, perhitungan freeboard, tonnage dan stabilitas kapal. Modifikasi yang dilakukan terdiri dari penambahan ruangan restoran di atas geladak daripada deck cargo barge dengan kapasitas 250 pengunjung terbagi dalam 71 meja.Tinggi freeboard minimum sebesar 772 mm dengan saratmaksimum 3.576 m, besarnya tonnase kapal adalah 2645 GT, dan kondisi stabilitas restobarge memenuhi kriteria Intact Stability (IS) Code Reg. III/3.1. Desain safety plan ditambahkan pada restobarge untuk memenuhi kriteria SOLAS 1974 dengan penambahan 341 lifejacket, 12 lifebuoy dan 22 liferafts. Garbage Disposal management menggunakan compactor yang diperuntukkan untuk jenis sampah plastik dan sampah non-organic dan menggunakan comminuter dan macerator untuk sampah yang berasal dari sisa-sisa makanan dan juga bahan-bahan organik. Sewage treatment management menggunakan chemical method sewage treatment plant. Konfigurasi mooring system yang digunakan adalah spread mooring system dengan symmetric 4 line (45°) dengan masing masing panjang line adalah 90 meter dengan menggunakan mooring line berupa wire rope dan chain. Sedangkan pada ANALISIS ekonomis dilakukan perhitungan besarnya biaya konversi, estimasi BEP (Brekeven Point), NPV (Net Present Value) dan IRR (Internatl Rate of Return). Besarnya biaya konversi deck cargo barge menjadi restobarge adalah sebesar Rp 23,465,447,589.46 dengan estimasi BEP terjadi pada tahun ke 6 operasional serta nilai NPV sebesar Rp 12,302,628,602.37 dan IRR sebesar 16.7% untuk jangka waktu investasi selama 5 tahun. ========== Lot of deck cargo barges that carry coals have been stopped operating due to the amount of coals has been decreasing lately. Functional diversion has to be done to protect deck cargo barge from extinction. This Final Project intends to analyze both technically and economically about converting deck cargo barge into restobarge (restaurant). In technical analysis, modification has been done with the design of restobarge’s general arrangement that originally came from deck cargo barge’s general arrangement, calculation of freeboard, tonnage, and ships stability. Modification consists of the addition of restaurant’s room on top of the deck of deck cargo barge with capacity of 250 visitors spread in 71 tables. Minimum freeboard height of the ship is 772 mm with maximum draft is 3.576 m, the ship’s tonnage is 2645 GT, and stability condition of restobarge fulfill the criteria of Intact Stability (IS) Code Reg.III/3.1. after the conversion, safety plan design has been added to restobarge with addition of 341 lifejackes, 12 lifebuoys and 22 liferafts. The Garbage Disposal management uses compactor to handle plastic Garbage and nonorganic Garbage and it uses comminuter and macerator to handle Garbages that come from food wastes and also organical Garbages. Sewage treatment management uses chemical method sewage treatment plant. And then the mooring systems are using spread mooring system with symmetric 4 line (45°) with each line has 90 meter long using both wire rope mooring line and chain mooring line. Meanwhile, the economical analysis has been done to estimate the cost of shipbuilding, BEP (Breakeven Point) estimation, NPV(Net Present Value) and IRR (Internal Rate of Return). The cost of converting deck cargo barge into restobarge is Rp. 23,465,447,589.46 with BEP estimation will be achieved in 6 years of restobarge’s operation with NPV valued at Rp. 12,302,628,602.37 and IRR valued at 16.7% rate for 5 years of investment period
