geological engineering survey and Geotechnical analysis of substrate soil of erbil steel fusion company
Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2016Co-Authors: Izha Shirdel, Farshad KhatibAbstract:Construction projects steps among the vast and varied construction has remarkable significance range in civil industry. Foundation as an important part of building the, is made of various systems in order to transfer the load from the superstructure to basis. In order to subsurface location checks could be used of identifiers such as boreholes, wells, trenches and in situ tests and laboratory tests. Project facilities are the most important factors to identification the equipment and tools. In this study, by using the results of the exploratory boreholes, field observations, in situ tests and laboratory studies have been consider to evaluate Geotechnical Condition of Erbil Altun kupri project site. According to this by studying the Geological Engineering Condition of site project and Lefran tests, spt and cutting feathers standing on samples taken from boreholes from drilled and comparing results together, which generally consists of sand and gravel with fine particles of silt and Clay, has been determined Geotechnical parameters of location. In the calculations after 6.5 meters excavation, location soil considered pre-consolidation and for settlement calculation, under layer soils were divided into several layers. The detailed results of calculations to verify foundation settlement before and after soil improving operation that used DSM method and it’s analysis by using Plaxis 3D software, showed the elastic settlement 0.0105 mm in the center of foundation. Keyword: geo technics, altun kupri project, foundation settlement, Plaxis 3D software, engineering geology

Geotechnical Condition analysis in karst area on the west east gas and shanxi beuing gas ii link pipeline project
Earth and Environment, 2005Co-Authors: L I JinchunAbstract:The object of this text aims to the karst area along the pipeline between Zaozhuang and Jinan in Shandong Province . This project is the Second Connection Pipeline from Shanxi province to Beijing city , which is one part of the West-East gas pipeline Project. Many methods , such as the HD electrical method、Radar、Surface wave、exploratory pit and drilling ,were used to investigate and analyze the site. From the distribution character of the karst land feature, the basic environmental type of the karst in the area along the pipe direction was expatiated in detail. According to the analysis about the civil engineering Condition, the estimation about the pipe's security and the Prevention measures to the geologic hazard in different karst area were hold on to construct the pipe properly.

Possibilities of application of geophysical methods in the investigations performed for the line structures
9th EAGE EEGS Meeting, 2003Co-Authors: J. Bárta, V. Benes, K. HrubecAbstract:The authors of the poster in their practical and research tasks come across a number of possibilities of application of geophysical methods for the assessment of geological and particularly Geotechnical Conditions in the investigations performed for the line structures (roads, railways, pipelines, protective dams). Recently, the collective of authors has been involved in the grant of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, addressing the issues of application of geophysical methods in the field of railway engineering. The poster shows examples of application of seismic methods (see fig. 1), including the use of a small seismic vibrator, the method of ground penetrating radar (GPR) in connection with a railway track recording car (see fig. 2), the method of gravity measurement focused on the changes of consolidation and compaction of railway ernbankment or Geotechnical Condition of tunnels (fig. 3 and 4), the multielectrode methods focused on embankments and landslides, and the methods of observation of corrosion of metallic objects (fig 5,6).

Influence of soil-structure interaction in seismic analysis in buildings provided on isolated footings due to the change in geometry and Geotechnical Conditions
Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), 2019Co-Authors: Neyra Herrera, Cristhian Deyvi, Romero Pérez, George MichaelAbstract:This research thesis seeks to find the variations of parameters such as periods, distortions and internal forces by changing the number of floors and Geotechnical Conditions when a traditional seismic analysis is performed considering the base embedded and when the soil-structure interaction is incorporated by middle of the dynamic DD model Barkan - O.A. Savinov in common buildings (hotels). To obtain the results of the parameters, seismic analyzes of all the models are performed in the SAP 2000 software. Likewise, this research has been carried out because there are currently no data on in which cases, depending on the type of soil and size of the building, it is representative to include the soil-structure interaction when performing the seismic analysis. The structural models to be used are 3, 5, 7 and 9 floors in Geotechnical Conditions S1 (very rigid soils), S2 (intermediate soils) and S3 (soft soils). Likewise, the structural system is a structure contributed on isolated footings. Mainly, it has been found that by including the soil - structure interaction in the seismic analysis and as the Geotechnical Condition becomes more unfavorable, the variations of the distortions for each model (3, 5, 7 and 9) increase. Additionally, the variations of the periods for each type of soil (S1, S2 and S3) decrease when the number of floors increases. That is, the variation is greater when they are low structures. Barkan – O.A.
