  • ICCHP - Graphic Editor for visually impaired users
Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2006
    Co-Authors: Atsushi Nishi, Ryoji Fukuda
    Abstract:

Additional adequate Graphical contents are very effective in various communications. The same is clearly true of information given by a visually impaired person. The main purpose of our system is to create Graphical contents without any visual information. The targets are fundamental mathematical Graphic objects. Making use of a tactile pin display and ultrasonic pen, users input Graphical object hearing several audio assists

  • Controlling limited-domain applications by probabilistic semantic decoding of natural speech
1997 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 1997
    Co-Authors: H. Stahl, J. Muller, M. Lang
    Abstract:

The paper describes a speech understanding system, which allows the online control of arbitrary running applications owning a well-defined command interface. A sequential combination of a signal preprocessor, a stochastic-driven one-stage semantic decoder and a rule-based intention decoder is proposed. Following this principle and using the respective algorithms, speech understanding front-ends for the domains "Graphic Editor" and "service robot" could be successfully realized.

  • Integration environment to invoke CAD tools efficiently
Electronics and Communications in Japan Part Iii-fundamental Electronic Science, 1992
    Co-Authors: T. Miyazaki, T. Hoshino, M. Endo
    Abstract:

This paper describes an integration system for VLSI design tools and their interface builder. The main advantage of this system is its unique process control mechanism. Once VLSI designers specify their tasks by using a flowchart-based Graphic Editor, the system could handle the design process and maintain the design data produced by each tool. In addition, the system features several interface building tools and subroutine packages that readily integrate new design tools into the system environment. The system was conceived to provide a unified interface for designers and to manage CAD tool invocation to improve design turnaround time.

  • ICCAD - A CAD process scheduling technique
1990 IEEE International Conference on Computer-Aided Design. Digest of Technical Papers, 1990
    Co-Authors: T. Miyazaki, T. Hoshino, M. Endo
    Abstract:

Conductor, an integration system for VLSI design tools and their human-interface builder, is described. The main advantage of this system is its unique process control mechanism. Once VLSI designers specify their tasks by using a flow-chart based Graphic Editor, the system can handle the design process and maintain the design data produced by each tool. >
