  • Gravitational Potential,Motion of Matter and Space-time Structure Basic Relationship between Motion of Matter and Gravitational Potential
Journal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2010
    Co-Authors: Fan Yong
    Abstract:

According to the relativity of space-time structure, two theorems are put forward from the relationship between motion of matter and cosmic space time structure, which make certain that the relative utmost proper velocity of a particle depends on the relative local cosmic Gravitational Potential where the particle is located. The local cosmic Gravitational Potential not only has relation with the distribution of matter as is usually considered, but also has relation with all kinds of motion of matter. For example, the mass motion of objects naturally also results in additional Gravitational Potential which consequently lead to additional change of space-time structure,so the nature ofinertial force is clarified. The two theorems are proved to be in agreement with Conservation of Energy, and the nature of constancy of light velocity and the applicable condition of Lorentz transformation are clarified. The basic relationship between motion of matter, energy and space time structure is analyzed.A logical superposition of velocities is deduced. It is proved that if Schwarzschild metric is replaced by the space-time transformation metric of this paper, the theoretical prediction well satisfies the date of the four classical experimental verification of general relativity in the solar system.

  • the equivalence of Gravitational Potential and rechargeable battery for high altitude long endurance solar powered aircraft on energy storage
    Energy Conversion and Management, 2013
    Co-Authors: Xiaoqian Chen
    Abstract:

Abstract Applying solar energy is one of the most promising methods to achieve the aim of High-altitude Long-endurance (HALE) flight, and solar-powered aircraft is usually taken by the research groups to develop HALE aircraft. However, the crucial factor which constrains the solar-powered aircraft to achieve the aim of HALE is the problem how to fulfill the power requirement under weight constraint of rechargeable batteries. Motivated by the birds store energy from thermal by gaining height, the method of energy stored by Gravitational Potential for solar-powered aircraft have attracted great attentions in recent years. In order to make the method of energy stored in Gravitational Potential more practical in solar-powered aircraft, the equivalence of Gravitational Potential and rechargeable battery for aircraft on energy storage has been analyzed, and four kinds of factors are discussed in this paper: the duration of solar irradiation, the charging rate, the energy density of rechargeable battery and the initial altitude of aircraft. This work can provide some governing principles for the solar-powered aircraft to achieve the unlimited endurance flight, and the endurance performance of solar-powered aircraft may be greatly improved by the application of energy storage using Gravitational Potential.

  • Gravitational Potential energy of the Sun
    Studia Geophysica et Geodaetica, 1996
Co-Authors: Milan Burša, Ladislav Křivský, Ondřejka Hovorková
    Abstract:

The Gravitational Potential energy of the Sun and its corresponding internal energy have been estimated on the basis of the standard model of the Sun's internal structure. It is demonstrated that the principal moment of inertia of the Sun, computed from the model, does not fit the hydrostatic equilibrium limit.

  • Gravitational Potential energy of the major planets
    Earth Moon and Planets, 1994
    Co-Authors: Milan Burša, Ondřejka Hovorková
    Abstract:

Gravitational Potential energy of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune has been computed on the basis of density models and compared. It has been stated that the specific Potential energy per unit mass does not differ significantly.

  • Gravitational Potential energy of terrestrial planets
    Studia Geophysica et Geodætica, 1994
    Co-Authors: Milan Burša, Ondřejka Hovorková
    Abstract:

The Gravitational Potential energies of Mercury, Venus and Mars have been computed on the basis of density models and compared to that of the Earth. It has been stated that the specific Potential energy per unit mass is very close as regards the pair Earth and Venus, as well as the pair Mercury and Mars.

  • Distribution of Gravitational Potential Energy within the Solar System
    Earth Moon and Planets, 1993
    Co-Authors: Milan Burša
    Abstract:

The orbital Gravitational Potential energies of the planets and of the satellites have been estimated and compared to the Gravitational Potential energies of the bodies themselves and to the Gravitational Potential energy of the Sun. From the point of view of the Gravitational Potential energy distribution two quite different groups of the planets can be distinguished clearly. However, the Gravitational Potential energy of the systems is mainly concentrated within the central bodies, only about 10−5 in orbiting bodies.

  • the Gravitational Potential and its derivatives for the prism
    Journal of Geodesy, 2000
Co-Authors: D Nagy, Gabor Papp, Judit Benedek
    Abstract:

As a simple building block, the right rectangular parallelepiped (prism) has an important role mostly in local gravity field modelling studies when the so called flat-Earth approximation is sufficient. Its primary (methodological) advantage follows from the simplicity of the rigorous and consistent analytical forms describing the different gravitation-related quantities. The analytical forms provide numerical values for these quantities which satisfy the functional connections existing between these quantities at the level of numerical precision applied. Closed expressions for the Gravitational Potential of the prism and its derivatives (up to the third order) are listed for easy reference.

  • The long range Gravitational Potential energy between strings
    Physics Letters B, 2001
    Co-Authors: Margaret E. Wessling, Mark B. Wise
    Abstract:

Abstract We calculate the Gravitational Potential energy between infinitely long parallel strings with tensions τ 1 and τ 2 . Classically, it vanishes, but at one loop, we find that the long range Gravitational Potential energy per unit length is U / L =24 G N 2 τ 1 τ 2 /(5 πa 2 )+⋯, where a is the separation between the strings, G N is Newton's constant, and we set ℏ= c =1. The ellipses represent terms suppressed by more powers of G N τ i . Typically, massless bulk fields give rise at one loop to a long range Potential between p -branes in space–times of dimension p +2+1. The contribution to this Potential from bulk scalars is computed for arbitrary p (strings correspond to p =1) and in the case of three-branes its possible relevance for cosmological quintessence is commented on.
