  • Understanding the Effect of Cementitious Grouting Pressure on Micro-Fracture Permeability for Rock Reinforcement Underground: A Lab Study
    Energies, 2020
Co-Authors: Kai Wang, Lianguo Wang, Bo Ren, Hao Fan
    Abstract:

In Grouting support projects, due to the small concealment of micro-fractures, the support effect often fails to meet design requirements. The percolation effect is a common factor that causes Grouting failure, and the influence of Grouting pressure on the percolation effect is very obvious. In this article, a design of a micro-fracture Grouting experimental system is presented that can realize high-pressure Grouting and then uses a variety of ultrafine cements to carry out high- and low-pressure Grouting tests under different fracture opening conditions, thereby obtaining the Grouting pressure and accumulated Grouting weight during the Grouting process. The results show that a combination of the Grouting pressure curve and the cumulative Grouting weight curve can determine whether the ultrafine cement will have a percolation effect. Increasing the Grouting pressure can reduce the critical fracture opening value and also reduce the occurrence of the percolation effect. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the high-pressure Grouting of micro-fracture rock masses and offer certain guiding significance for the design of high-pressure Grouting support schemes.

    Abstract:

In dam construction project, Grouting activity needed for making impermeable layer to mantain dam stability, whether during construction activity or operational activity when it was used. Grouting activity for making impermeable layer consisted of curtain Grouting and consolidation Grouting. Grouting activity implementation could be implemented with using permeation Grouting and jet Grouting. Both of method had different cost calculation in grout injection and method of grout injection  in Grouting activity. The objective of this paper, is to analyzed cost and implementation Grouting activity for making impermeable layer between permeation Grouting and jet Grouting in dam construction project. The case study is used  second step dam arrangement project of Lapangan Sindang Pano in Majalengka. The result of  this analysis showed that total cost of jet Grouting is bigger than permeation Grouting, jet Grouting activity phase less than permeation Grouting, jet Grouting injection pressure higher than permeation Grouting, grout distribution to the hole in jet Grouting using jetting process and in permeation Grouting using manchette method. Jet Grouting using special equipment but permeation Grouting didn’t use that equipment. In jet Grouting there was mixture between grout and soil, but there was no mixture in permeation Grouting.

  • Study on the Control Pressure of Secondary Grouting for Shield Tunnel in Rock under High Water Pressure
    China Railway Science, 2006
    Co-Authors: Xie Hong-qiang
    Abstract:

The internal forces and deformation of the segment lining were analyzed under different Grouting modes, which were involved with the location of secondary Grouting hole,Grouting space length and Grouting pressure,beam-spring model was used as simulating the segment lining in the calculation. The results show that the mechanical behaviors of the segment lining under different Grouting modes are dissimilar, the segment lining loaded asymmetry Grouting stands in the worst mechanics state. The internal forces and the deformation of segment lining decrease with the diminishment of secondary Grouting pressure and Grouting space length. The Grouting space length is indefinite in the construction of shield tunnel in rock.So taking safety into consideration, the control pressure of secondary Grouting is less than 0.6 MPa,and lower limit of secondary Grouting pressure is controlled with being able to inject Grouting material.
