silica gel fecl3 an efficient and recyclable Heterogenous Catalyst for one step synthesis of 4 3h quinazolinones under solvent free conditions
Catalysis Communications, 2006Co-Authors: Adharvana M Chari, D Shobha, K MukkantiAbstract:Abstract Silica gel supported ferric chloride catalyzes efficiently the three component coupling reaction of anthranilic acid, ortho esters and amines under solvent free conditions to afford the corresponding 4(3H)-quinazolinones in single step. This new approach consistently has the advantage of excellent yields (84–98%) and short reaction times of 5–10 min. The Catalyst can be recovered and recycled.
-
silica gel supported sodium hydrogensulfate as a Heterogenous Catalyst for high yield synthesis of 2 arylbenzothiazoles
Journal of the Indian Chemical Society, 2006Co-Authors: Adharvana M Chari, D Shobha, K SyamasundarAbstract:Silica gel supported sodium bisulfate catalyzes efficiently the synthesis of 2-arylbenzothiazoles by the condensation of 2-aminothiophenol and aromatic aldehyde in refluxing acetonitrile to afford the corresponding 2-arylbenzothiazoles.

polymer pvp supported ferric chloride an efficient and recyclable Heterogenous Catalyst for one pot synthesis of 4 3h quinazolinones under solvent free conditions
Organic Chemistry: An Indian Journal, 2006Co-Authors: K Mukkanti, Adharvana M Chari, D Shobha, Prakash Mms KinthadaAbstract:An efficient synthesis of 4(3H)-quinazolinones by coupling of anthranilic acid, ortho esters and amines using Polymer supported ferric chloride Catalyst under solvent free conditions is described. This new approach consistently has the advantage of excellent yields (80-97%) and short reaction times of 5-15 min.

silicagel supported sodium hydrogensulfate as a Heterogenous Catalyst for high yield synthesis of 3 4 dihydropyrimidin 2 1h ones
Journal of Molecular Catalysis A-chemical, 2004Co-Authors: Adharvana M Chari, K SyamasundarAbstract:Abstract Silicagel supported sodium bisulfate catalyzes efficiently the three component condensation reaction of aldehyde, β-ketoester and urea in refluxing acetonitrile to afford the corresponding dihydropyrimidinones. Compared to the classical Biginelli reaction conditions, this new approach consistently has the advantage of excellent yields (84–93%) and short reaction times 1–2.5 h.

A versatile and recyclable molecularly imprinted polymer as an oxidative Catalyst of sulfur derivatives: a new possible method for mustard gas and V nerve agent decontamination
Chemical Communications, 2019Co-Authors: Sophie Mohamed, Sébastien Balieu, Emilie Petit, Ludovic Galas, Damien Schapman, Julie Hardouin, Rachid Baati, François EstourAbstract:A molecularly imprinted polymer containing a porphyrin unit was developed as a biomimetic Heterogenous Catalyst for the oxidation of sulfur derivatives. Its catalytic efficiency under mild conditions and its easy recovery represent a great asset for the design of new decontamination tools for yperite and VX.
