    Abstract:

    Evolution in the Industrial Revolution has created a new phenomenon not only by industrial player across the board but also has impacted the Institution of higher learning. It requires policy makers in the Higher learning Institution to be more creative in providing flexible curriculum without compromising the quality of education that they offer. Interestingly, mobility student programme or popularly known as student exchange programme has become one of the central attractions among students. Even though this programme may not be able to be implemented for the whole university due to various reasons, yet, students are still interested to take part in this programme. For them, getting the opportunity to participate in mobility programme would be an added value to their transcript. The opportunity given will expose them to new experience studying abroad for a certain period and increase their graduate employability. This research highlighted a case study done in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Respondents were among those students who had enrolled in the mobility programme. An innovative credit transfer system for mobility programme has been introduced in UUM. Besides that, strong collaboration between participating Institutions (home and Host Institution) involved in this programme is important to provide effective and beneficial learning environment to students. Findings from this study can be used as a guideline to solve issues on credit transfer system for mobility programme

    The Resilience Shift (RS) was established in 2016 to address the recommendations of the Lloyd's Register Foundation's 'Foresight review of resilience engineering'. The initial 5-year programme is funded by Lloyd's Register Foundation, with Arup as Host Institution. Its aim is to inspire and empower a shift in critical infrastructure resilience thinking and practice so that engineered structures and infrastructure will be not only safer but also better. This paper provides a summary of the Resilience Shift’s aims and objectives and explains the programme execution. Building resilience of critical infrastructure requires decisionmakers working in different industry sectors to understand ‘what’ can be done, ‘why’ it should be done, and ‘how’ to put it into practice. All results from the Resilience Shift programme are publicly available through the organisation’s website, which can be accessed at: https://www.resilienceshift.org/.

    Abstract:

    Background: The science of dissemination and implementation (DI this is an important avenue to help build the field’s capacity. To improve the United States’ capacity for DI medicine (6 trainees); epidemiology (5 trainees); health behavior/health education (4 trainees); and 1 trainee each from education & human development, health policy and management, health services research, public health studies, public policy and social work, with a maximum of two individuals from any one Institution. The institute was rated as very helpful by attendees, and by six months after the institute, a follow-up survey (97% return rate) revealed that 72% had initiated a new grant proposal in DI 28% had received funding, and 77% had used skills from TIDIRH to influence their peers from different disciplines about D&I research through building local research networks, organizing formal presentations and symposia, teaching and by leading interdisciplinary teams to conduct D&I research. Conclusions: The initial TIDIRH training was judged successful by trainee evaluation at the conclusion of the week’s training and six-month follow-up, and plans are to continue and possibly expand the TIDIRH in coming years. Strengths are seen as the residential format, quality of the faculty and their flexibility in adjusting content to meet trainee needs, and the highlighting of concrete D&I examples by the local Host Institution, which rotates annually. Lessons learned and plans for future TIDIRH trainings are summarized.
