  • aplikasi uji Hotellings T2 untuk mengkaji perbedaan pengetahuan dan sikap tentang kesehatan reproduksi pada remaja di perdesaan dan perkotaan
Indonesian Journal of Public Health, 2007
Co-Authors: Mahmudah Mahmudah, Gusti Bagus Juli I Punrnawirawa
    Abstract:

Hotelling€™s T2 test function is to see differences between two test group that each group was contais at least two variate or more and will be done statistic analyse on that variate together simultanously. This test application was to show the differences of knowledge and attitude about reproductive health between teenagers in rural and urban area at Bali. This is an observasional research by using coss sectional design. The Sample size was 162 teenagers (70 rural and 92 urban) randomly selected from both population. Data was analyzed by using Hotelling€™s T2 test. Data indicate that the average score of knowledge (74,03) and attitude (87,62) of urban teenagers was higher than rural teenagers (32,25 for knowledge and 72,93 for attitude). Hotelling€™s T2 test showed that there were a significant difference of knowledge and attitute about reproductive health between teenager at rural and urban area (I± = 0,05,statistical test value = 8,709 and p = 0,000). Suggested for local goverment to increase reproductive health education for rural teenager more intensive than urban teenagers.Key words: hotelling€™s T2, teenager, reproductive health

  • Hotellings T2 control chart with variable sampling intervals
International Journal of Production Research, 2001
Co-Authors: Francisco Aparisi, Cesar L Haro
    Abstract:

Hotelling's T2 chart is the most widely used multivariate procedure to control changes in the mean vector of p correlated quality characteristics. In this paper, it is shown how to increase the efficiency of the test using the variable sampling interval technique. Given a control scheme with constant size and frequency of sampling, tables are produced that give a scheme, with two possible periods of time between samples, that is equivalent to the standard procedure when the process is in control. However, the new chart, as it uses two possible intervals between samples, is faster in detecting a change in the process. Various alternatives are given for the possible users of this method.

  • decomposing Hotellings T2 statistic usingfour variables
International Journal of Innovative Research in Science Engineering and Technology, 2014
Co-Authors: Nathan S Agog, Hussaini Garba Dikko, O E Asiribo
    Abstract:

The Mason, Young and Tracy (MYT) decomposition approach has gained much acceptance due to its effectiveness in detecting variables that contributes to an out-of-control condition. The decomposition approach enables one to assess the T2 value of each variable independently as while as their joint contribution. One of the setbacks of this approach is its computational complexity. In this work, the Hotelling’s T2 decomposition is extended from three variables to four variables using the MYT decomposition technique. Twenty four (24) models were obtained from the decomposition, where each model gives the same T2 value proving the invariance property of the Hotelling’s T2 statistic.
