reliable detection of lsb steganography based on the difference Image Histogram
International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2003Co-Authors: Tao Zhang, Xijian PingAbstract:A new steganalytic technique based on the difference Image Histogram aimed at LSB steganography is proposed. Translation coefficients between difference Image Histograms are defined as a measure of the weak correlation between the least significant bit (LSB) plane and the remaining bit planes, and then used to construct a classifier to discriminate the stego-Image from the carrier-Image. The algorithm can not only detect the existence of hidden messages embedded using sequential or random LSB replacement in Images reliably, but also estimate the amount of hidden messages exactly. Experimental results show that for raw lossless compressed Images the new algorithm has a better performance than the RS analysis method and improves the computation speed significantly.

Motion detection using Image Histogram sequence analysis
Signal Processing, 1993Co-Authors: Plamen Iliev, L. TsekovAbstract:This paper presents an unconventional approach for motion detection using Image Histogram sequence analysis. Functional and statistical models for Image Histogram sequence analysis are proposed. The relationship between the statistical characteristics of the Image Histogram sequences and the process of motion detection is established. The experimental results show that the proposed approach can be used for a reliable motion detection. ?? 1993.

a reversible watermarking based on Histogram shifting
Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2006Co-Authors: Jinha Hwang, Jonguk ChoiAbstract:In this paper, we propose a reversible watermarking algorithm where an original Image can be recovered from watermarked Image data. Most watermarking algorithms cause degradation of Image quality in original digital content in the process of embedding watermark. In the proposed algorithm, the original Image can be obtained when the degradation is removed from the watermarked Image after extracting watermark information. In the proposed algorithm, we utilize a peak point of Image Histogram and the location map and modify pixel values slightly to embed data. Because the peak point of Image Histogram and location map are employed in this algorithm, there is no need of extra information transmitted to receiving side. Also, because a slight modification on pixel values is conducted, highly imperceptibly Images can be achieved. As locations of watermark embedding are identified using location map, amount of watermark data can dramatically increases through recursive embedding. Experimental results show that it can embed 5K to 130K bits of additional data.
