    Abstract:

    In this paper, we explore the potential of extrapolating the Instant messaging paradigm into pervasive computing environments. Under this vision, an Instant Messenger is regarded as a unified interface for all communications among human, software services and various devices. To meet the demands, we introduce a novel Instant Messenger system i.e., Smart Instant Messenger, with original features of context-aware presence management, dynamic grouping, and resource buddy services. This system is built atop a context-aware supporting middleware, which adopts an ontology-based context model and handles the chore of retrieving and managing context information. Jabber protocol is exploited as the underlying message exchange format for extensibility. The system prototype is implemented and evaluated with respect to the responsiveness of queries and memory usage of the middleware.

    On the base of the deep study and analysis of the various Instant Messengers' transmission protocol of texts,files,audios and videos,A real-time monitoring system for Instant Messenger——IMmonitor was designed and realized.The system can not only real-timely monitor the text message of the Instant Messengers(such as MSN,Fetion,ICQ etc.) for multiple versions,but also monitor the transmission of any files(such as.doc,.jpg,.rar etc.),audios and videos.The IMmonitor system has realized the comprehensive monitor of the all formats of information of the Instant Messengers,and has solved the problem of the upgrade of the monitor system,which is caused by the upgrade of the Instant Messenger.

    Abstract:

    By building the environment of the protocol analysis, this paper analyses the protocol of the Fetion Instant Messenger(IM) of China Mobile and summarizes the protocol formats of the text information and file transmission. Based on the protocol analysis, it designs and implements the monitoring system of the Fetion IM of China Mobile with Network Driver Interface Specification(NDIS) technology, which can supervise the text information and file transmission effectively and intercept the deleterious information in real time.
