  • integrated risk management process assessment model for it organizations based on Iso 31000 in an Iso multi standards context
    Computer Standards & Interfaces, 2018
Co-Authors: Beatrix Barafort, Antoni Lluís Mesquida, Antònia Mas
    Abstract:

Abstract With risk management as a key challenge for most organizations, aligning and improving organisational and business processes is essential. Capability and Maturity Models can contribute to assess and then enable process improvement. With the need to integrate risk management in IT Organizations (IT department/organisation), Iso/IEC 15,504–330xx process assessment approach combined with the latest version of Iso 31,000 for risk management can be the foundations for new process models. An integrated process-based approach with various popular and market demands Iso standards (Iso 9001, Iso 21,500, Iso/IEC 20,000–1 and Iso/IEC 27,001) is proposed in the paper; it explains how the Integrated Risk Management Process Assessment Model for IT Organizations in an Iso multi-standards context is developed with a Design Science research method.

    Computers & Security, 2015
Co-Authors: Antoni Lluís Mesquida, Antònia Mas
    Abstract:

The Iso/IEC 15504 international standard can be aligned with the Iso/IEC 27000 information security management framework. During the research conducted all the existing relations between Iso/IEC 15504-5 software development base practices and Iso/IEC 27002 security controls have been analysed and the Iso/IEC 15504 Security Extension has been developed. This extension details the changes that software companies should make in the software lifecycle processes for the successful implementation of the related security controls. To attain our research objectives, we evaluate the Iso/IEC 15504 Security Extension through case studies in a sample of software development organizations. This study follows the design science research paradigm that is based on constructive research. Iso/IEC 15504-5 processes can be adapted to deploy Iso/IEC 27002 controls on them.Relations between Iso/IEC 15504-5 and Iso/IEC 27002 security controls are analysed. From these relations, the Iso/IEC 15504 Security Extension has been developed. The Design Science Research paradigm has been followed during its development. The Iso/IEC 15504 Security Extension has been validated in industry.

  • Interaction of the antitumor agent vanadocene dichloride with phosphate buffered saline
    Inorganica Chimica Acta, 2004
Co-Authors: Jaromír Vinklárek, Jan Honzíček, Jana Holubová
    Abstract:

EPR study has shown that in aqueous solution the anticancer agent vanadocene dichloride (Cp2VCl2) interacts with phosphates contained in phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Chelate complex Cp2VO2PO2H (|AIso(V)|=189.0 MHz, |aIso(P)|=81.5 MHz and gIso=1.9862) is only one paramagnetic compound formed at the range about the physiological pH (6.3–7.8). Its structure was validated by comparIson of observed and theoretical calculated HFC tensor (at the density functional level of theory).

  • Behaviour of the Antitumor Agent Vanadocene Dichloride in Physiological and Therapeutic Media, Blood Plasma and Human Blood - An EPR Study
    Metal-based drugs, 1997
Co-Authors: Jaromír Vinklárek, Ivan Pavlík, Zdenĕk Černošek
    Abstract:

By means of EPR spectroscopy the behaviour of the vanadocene dichloride (I), Cp(2)VCl(2) (Cp=eta(5)-C(5)H(5)), in various deoxygenated and non-deoxygenated physiological media and therapeutic solution as well as in blood plasma and stabilized human blood was studied. On the basis of measured values of Isotropic spectroscopic splitting factor g(Iso) and Isotropic hyperfine coupling constant A(Iso), the vanadocene species, [Cp(2)V(H(2)O)Cl](+) (II; g(Iso)= 1.985, |A(Iso)| = 7.68 mT), [Cp(2)V(H(2)O)(2)](2+) (III; g(Iso)= 1.983, |A(Iso)| = 7.92 mT), [Cp(2)V(OH(2) (IV; g(Iso)= 1.991, |A(Iso)| = 6.285 mT), [Cp(2)VCl(DMSO)](+) (V; g(Iso)= 1.985, |A(Iso)| = 7.69 mT), the vanadyl species [VO(DMSO)(5)](2+) (VI; g(Iso)= 1.964, |A(Iso)| = 10.78mT) and [VO(H(2)O)(5)](2+) (VII; g(Iso)= 1.955, |A(Iso)| = 11.56 mT) have been identified. From the measurements it follows that I does not react in its first coordination sphere with any component of a system used other than water and DMSO, resp. As to water-containing media, its behaviour is fully consistent with that of I in pure aqueous media. It was found the only vanadocene species present after application of the therapeutic solution of I into human blood to be IV not interacting in its first coordination sphere with any blood component.

  • new platinum oxicam complexes as anti cancer drugs synthesis characterization release studies from smart hydrogels evaluation of reactivity with selected proteins and cytotoxic activity in vitro
    Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, 2010
Co-Authors: Gabriella Tamasi, Mario Casolaro, Agnese Magnani, Alessandro Sega, Luisa Chiasserini, Luigi Messori, Chiara Gabbiani, Seied M Valiahdi, Michael A Jakupec, Bernhard K Keppler
    Abstract:

The reaction of aqueous cis-[Pt(NH(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2) with Na(+)HMEL(-) (H(2)MEL, meloxicam, 4-hydroxy-2-methyl-N-(5-methyl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxamide-1,1-dioxide), and Na(+)HIso(-)(H(2)Iso, Isoxicam, 4-hydroxy-2-methyl-N-(5-methylIsoxazol-3-yl)-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxamide-1,1-dioxide) at pH 7 produced micro-crystalline cis-[Pt(NH(3))(2)((N) under bar (1)'-HMEL)(2)], 5 and cis-[Pt(NH(3))(2)((N) under bar (1)'-HIso)(2)], 6. The X-ray diffraction structure of 5 shows two HMEL(-) anions donating through the thiazole nitrogen atoms and adopting a head-to-tail (HT) conformation. The (1)H NMR spectrum for 5 from DMSO-d(6) shows inertness of the complex up to at least 24 h. Delivery studies for 5 and 6 from vinyl hydrogel based on L-phenylalanine (pH 6.5, 25 degrees C) show that concentrations of complexes ranging between 2.5 and 5 mu M can be reached after a day. Compounds 5 and 6 show strong anti-proliferative effects on CH1 cells (ovarian carcinoma, human) in vitro. IC(50) values being 0.60 and 0.37 mu M, respectively (0.16 mu M for reference, cis-diamminodichloridoplatinum(II), cisplatin). ESI-MS measurements clearly documented that both 5 and 6 form adducts with the three model proteins ubiquitin (UBI), cytochrome c (CYT C) and superoxide dismutase (SOD), the HIso(-) complex being significantly more effective than the HMEL(-) one. Density functional methods help in finding rationale for the easiest dissociation of Pt-H(2)Iso/HIso bonds when compared to the Pt-(N) under bar (1)'-H(2)MEL/(N) under bar (1)'-HMEL linkages. • Single amino acid changes in the turnip mosaic virus viral genome-linked protein (VPg) confer virulence towards Arabidopsis thaliana mutants knocked out for eukaryotic initiation factors eIF(Iso)4E and eIF(Iso)4G
    Journal of General Virology, 2010
Co-Authors: Jean-luc Gallois, Carine Charron, Flora Sanchez, Gaelle Pagny, Marie-christine Houvenaghel, André Moretti, Fernando Ponz, Frederic Revers, Carole Caranta, Sylvie German-retana
    Abstract:

Previous resistance analyses of Arabidopsis thaliana mutants knocked out for eukaryotic translation initiation factors showed that disruption of the At-eIF(Iso)4E or both the At-eIF(Iso)4G1 and At-eIF(Iso)4G2 genes resulted in resistance against turnip mosaic virus (TuMV). This study selected TuMV virulent variants that overcame this resistance and showed that two independent mutations in the region coding for the viral genome-linked protein (VPg) were sufficient to restore TuMV virulence in At-eIF(Iso)4E and At-eIF(Iso)4G1xAt-eIF(Iso)4G2 knockout plants. As a VPg–eIF(Iso)4E interaction has been shown previously to be critical for TuMV infection, a systematic analysis of the interactions between A. thaliana eIF4Es and VPgs of virulent and avirulent TuMVs was performed. The results suggest that virulent TuMV variants may use an eIF4F-independent pathway
