E neste grupo encontra-se o file de cacao, principalmente da especie Isurus oxyrinchus (Elasmobranchii: Lamnidae), popularmente conhecido como cacao Anequim. A carne do cacao e um produto diferenciado, aceito e encontra-se em 5° lugar dentre os peixes importados vendidos nos supermercados da cidade, apesar de nao haver legislacao vigente que promova um padrao de identidade e qualidade do alimento. A partir de 17 amostras de file de cacao fresco, provenientes de mercados localizados em Niteroi - RJ, foram realizadas analises bacteriologicas e sensoriais para a verificacao da qualidade destas. Observou-se nos resultados bacteriologicos amostras em nao conformidade na pesquisa de Salmonella spp. e enumeracao de Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Tambem, verificou-se que o file de cacao foi bem aceito pelos provadores, comprovando-se sua comercializacao com frequencia no municipio. Objetivou-se no trabalho a avaliacao das condicoes higienico-sanitarias do file do cacao Anequim comercializado no municipio de Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.

It is extremely important to promote quality control of food concerning to its microbiological characteristics and offering safe products to the population. In Rio de Janeiro state, a short-term shelf life product as fish is highly bought and consumed. And this group is the shark fillet, especially of the species Isurus oxyrinchus (Elasmobranchii: Lamnidae), popularly known as Shortfin Mako Shark. The meat of this type of shark is a distinguished and accepted product and has relatively low cost. That is why it’s in the 5th place of the ranking among the imported fishes sold in Rio de Janeiro state supermarkets. Nowadays there is no legislation that can promote an identity standard and a quality of this product. The sensory analysis (test of acceptability and preference) of 17 samples of shark fresh fillet from markets of Niteroi city was carried out, and also the intentions of purchasing the product samples by the panels. The sample number 7 had the highest overall average (6.02) and the vast majority of the shark fillet was accepted by the panels, confirming its consumer preference and commercialization in Niteroi city, Rio de Janeiro. The objective of this work was to analyse the sensory evaluation of Shortfin Mako Shark meat (I. oxyrinchus), sold in Niteroi city, Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil.

Total length of the mitogenome is 16 715 bp, consisting of 2 rRNAs, 13 protein-coding regions, 22 tRNA and 2 non-coding regions thus updating the previously published mitogenome for this species. The phylogenomic reconstruction inferred from the mitogenome of 15 species of Lamniform and Carcharhiniform sharks supports the inclusion of C. taurus in a clade with the Lamnidae and Cetorhinidae. This complete mitogenome contributes to ongoing investigation into the monophyly of the Family Odontaspididae.

El ejemplar correspondio a una hembra de 310 cm de longitud total, capturada por un pesquero artesanal frente a la costa de Valparaiso, Chile, por un pesquero artesanal cuya especie objetivo era el marrajo de aleta corta, I. oxyrinchus. Los principales caracteres taxonomicos utilizados en la identificacion del marrajo de aleta larga que permitieron distinguirlo de la otra especie del genero Isurus (marrajo de aleta corta), fueron la forma de la cabeza y hocico, la longitud de las aletas pectorales, la posicion relativa de la primera aleta dorsal con respecto al margen posterior de las aletas pectorales y la posicion relativa de la segunda aleta dorsal con respecto de la anal. Los antecedentes recopilados indican que la presencia de Isurus paucus no se restringiria a zonas de aguas calidas, sino que tambien se distribuye en aguas templadas-frias

The total length of mitochondrial DNA is 16,701 bp and includes 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA, 22 transfer RNA genes, 1 replication origin region, and 1 control region. The mitochondrial gene arrangement of the tiger tail seahorse is also matching the one observed in the most vertebrate creatures. Base composition of the genome is A (28.8%), T (28.0%), C (28.0%), and G (15.2%) with an A + T rich hallmark as that of other vertebrate mitochondrial genomes.
