  • The Effects of the Leadership Style on the Learning Motivation of Students in Elementary Schools

    Abstract:

    This major objective of this study is to investigate the effect of leadership styles of science teachers on the Learning Motivation of elementary school students. It is generally known that students’ Learning Motivation could affect the Learning achievement. Besides, students with strong Learning Motivation generally lead to better Learning performance. If a teacher can break through the tradition and adopt a creative leadership style, it is possible to increase the Learning Motivation and result in better Learning achievement. In this study, 165 primary school teachers and 2800 students were randomly selected. Leadership styles and Learning Motivation questionnaires were designed for research instruments. In the data analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis were adopted. The results showed that: 1) Both the transformational and transactional leadership styles have been employed by elementary school teachers in this study. 2) The correlations between the above two leadership styles and the Learning Motivation of students are both “moderate to good relationship”. 3) The transformational and the transactional leadership styles can explain 52.60% of variance for the Learning Motivation of students. 4) Multiple regression analysis can be used to infer causal relationships between the leadership styles of teachers and the Learning Motivation of students.

  • Relationship of Learning Motivation and Employment Psychology of College Students

    Abstract:

    Objective To analyze the current status and characteristics of Learning Motivation and employment psychology of graduating medical college students and explore the relationship between them.Methods Survey was conducted by two self-designed questionnaires on the 151 students majoring clinical,prevention and medical technology courses.Results(1) Most students' Learning Motivation was deficient,the external Motivation was higher than internals,and there were statistic differences between gender groups(P0.05).(2)The employment psychology was diversified,and hunting self-development,steady and convenience and material-oriented were the most psychology.(3)The internal Learning Motivation was negatively correlated with "steady and convenience"employment psychology,the external Learning Motivation was positively correlated with "self-development"employment psychology,and there were statistic differences among major groups respectively.Conclusion Most graduating medical college students' Learning Motivation was deficient,and the employment psychology was diversified.The positive employment psychology was more likely to be positively correlate with internal Learning Motivation,and the negative one was more likely to be positively correlated with external Learning Motivation.

    Abstract:

    Objective To study and analysis the status of Learning Motivation on juniors has been a hot point in nursing education reform.Methods It analyzed the Learning Motivation and cognition status of 288junior nursing students using self-made scales and group-focus interview.Results It have a lower score of total scale and subscale of the Learning Motivation and cognition status of nursing juniors.And the major influence was Learning objectives are not clear(61.46%),profession unwished(54.86%),the big difference between reality and ideal(46.53%)and other factors.Conclusion It has suggested reasonably that the nursing teachers should put a priority on the Learning Motivation of juniors,reform the teaching methods and reinforce the training on the nursing Motivation and self-study management in order to increase the ability through a variety of ways in nursing juniors.
