    Abstract:

    This paper describes the design and implementation of video conference system over the hybrid type peer-to-peer networks. The proposed video conference system has hybrid type Peer to Peer networks based on a Client-server and peer-to-peer, where Client-server is used for exchange of account Management, Client list and status information and peer-to-peer is used for the real time video conference. The proposed video conference system decreases the traffic of server, and can cuts down the load of a networks. Because the multimedia data is decentralized to Client by hybrid peer-to-peer networks. Also, the proposed system is implemented and tested by the multi-party video conference system using communication protocol and application software through high speed networks.

    Abstract:

    Recently, Peer to Peer(P2P) networks become more and more popular. This paper describes an implementation of real-time video conference system using high speed multimedia communication. The proposed real-time video conference system has hybrid Peer to Peer architecture based on a Client-server and peer-to-peer, where Client-server is used for exchange of account Management, Client list and status information and P2P is used for the real-time video conference. The proposed real-time video conference system decreases the traffic of server, and can cuts down the load of multimedia communication.     Abstract:

    A novel model and architecture of network Management – Dynamically Constructed Network Management (DCNM) based on the active network technology is proposed in this paper. The network services and applications are treated as “soft equipment” managed by the NMS thus all the resources in the network can be managed under this model. As the function of managed objects, i.e., network services and applications etc., Management functions will be dynamically constructed along with the development and deployment of variety of services and applications in the network. This makes Management itself an adaptive component of the network. The architecture of dynamically constructed network Management is composed of the Management center, the middle Management node, the data collection node, and the Management Client. A DCNM prototype has been developed based on our research experiences.

  • Audit opinion and earnings Management: Evidence from Greece

    Abstract:

    This study examines the relationship between audit opinions and earnings Management, as measured by discretionary accruals, for listed firms on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE). We divide the qualified audit opinions into two categories: qualified for the going-concern uncertainty and qualified for other reasons. The results indicate that audit opinions are not related to earnings Management. Client financial characteristics, such as profitability and size are determinants of the going-concern audit opinion decision. The decision of auditors to issue qualified opinions for other reasons is explained by the type of audit opinion issued in the previous year.
